April represents the beginning of the rainy season in Venezuela, and I think nature is looking forward to it. On a recent excursion through a mountainous area, every tree, plant and even the ground seemed to be shouting: rain!
Although there is a river in the area, the water that circulates at this time of year is scarce and few organisms benefit from it, so dryness dominates the environment with the occasional touch of greenery. At least this area has not suffered fires as has happened in many parts of the country recently.
Of course, the hand of the human being appears from time to time, with the problem of garbage and also as in the last photo. When we took a bath in a small well, I left my things on some stones that had been used to make a fire for cooking, and all the earth around was black.
But it is not so worrying, as soon as the rains start, almost all these tracks are erased. It is incredible how nature recovers, the level of the river rises, it carries away what was burned and everything greens up quickly.
Abril representa el inicio de la temporada de lluvias en Venezuela, y creo que la naturaleza está a la expectativa de esto. En una excursión reciente por una zona montañosa, cada árbol, planta y hasta el suelo, parecían gritar: ¡lluvia!
A pesar de que hay un río por la zona, el agua que circula en esta época del año es escasa y pocos organismos se benefician de ella, entonces la resequedad domina el ambiente con uno que otro toque de verdor. Al menos esta zona no ha sufrido incendios como ha sucedido en muchas partes del país recientemente.
Claro, la mano del ser humano aparece de vez en cuando, con el problema de la basura y también como en la última foto. Cuando nos dimos un baño en un pequeño pozo, dejé mis cosas sobre unas piedras que habían servido para hacer una fogata para cocinar, y toda la tierra alrededor estaba negra.
Pero no es tan preocupante, apenas comienzan las lluvias, casi todas estas huellas se borran. Es increíble cómo la naturaleza se recupera, el nivel del río aumenta, se lleva lo quemado y todo reverdece rápidamente.
