I have been working with NGO foundations in my country for some time, one of them sponsored by #UNICEF, with them I was able to visit places that needed their attention and help, as a documentary filmmaker I was impressed to see so many people in very difficult situations and extreme poverty.
I want to tell you the brief story of "MARIA FERNANDA", a Spanish granny who lives in a home for the elderly in my state.
Hace un tiempo que trabajo con fundaciones ONG en mi pais, una de ellas patrocinada por #UNICEF , con ellos pude recorrer lugar que necesitaban su atencion y ayuda, como documentalista me impresionó ver a tantas personas en situaciones muy dificiles y de extrema pobreza.
Les quiero contar la breve historia de " MARIA FERNANDA ", una abuelita española que hace vida en un hogar para ancianos en mi estado.
She will always have a special place in my heart, as she taught me that no matter how old you are, the childlike spirit that lives within all of us should never die.
Time is an important factor in our lives and through time it can be seen how time wreaks havoc on our bodies, but it will never touch our soul.
Maria Fernanda es una abuelita de 96 años que llego hace aproximadamente 10 años a mi pais y se enamoró de el, lo que llevo a que su familia en ESPAÑA le buscará un sitio donde pudiera ser atendida y estuviera en buenas manos. Asi como lo ven en la imagen ella es un adulto mayor pero con el carisma de una tierna bebe. Recuerdo que ese dia bailamos, jugamos y preparamos una deliciosa comida para ella y todos los abuelos que hacen vida en ese lugar.
Ella siempre tendra un lugar especial en mi corazon, ya que me enseñó que no importa la edad que tengas el espiritu de niño que vive dentro de todos nosotros jamas debe morir.
El tiempo es un factor importante en nuestras vidas y a traves del tiempo se puede evidenciar como el tiempo hace estragos en nuestros cuerpos, pero jamas tocara nuestra alma.

After sharing the whole afternoon with her and documenting how they lived, I went for a walk through that town called "PERIBECA", a beautiful town that still keeps the tradition alive, the old houses and an air that makes you travel to the past.
There I met this character and his musical instrument, which in Venezuela is called "CUATRO VENEZOLANO", a whole character who sings to life, memories and beautiful women hahahaha (that's what he said)
Luego de compartir con ella toda la tarde y documentar como vivian, sali a pasear por ese pueblo llamado " PERIBECA ", un hermoso publo que aun mantiene vivo lo tradicional, las casas antiguas y un aire que te hace viajar al pasado.
Allí conoci a este personaje y su instrumento musical, que en Venezuela se llama " CUATRO VENEZOLANO ", todo un personaje que le canta a la vida, a los recuerdos y a las mujeres bonitas jajajaja ( eso fue lo que dijo ).
