TOILE d’ARAIGNEE GIVREE FROZEN COBWEB
Par un froid après-midi de décembre 2016, je me suis approchée à petits pas d’une toile d’araignée givrée que j’avais repérée plus tôt dans la journée. Mais la locataire était déjà partie.
Elle m’a laissé cette toile comme un joli napperon de dentelle.
L’araignée est une véritable usine à soie et les fils de soie composent sa toile.
On peut admirer le travail minutieux que je compare à un authentique travail artisanal.
La « TOILE », traduction en français de WEB, est aussi le nom communément donné au WEB, sans doute en référence à toutes les connexions et interconnexions qui nous permettent de passer d’un sujet à l’autre.
Telle une araignée nous tissons des liens en passant d’un fil à l’autre.
Petite anecdote, je suis française et je traduis mes post en anglais à l’aide de Google pour mes abonnés anglophones. J’ai donc saisi « toile d’araignée givrée » et invariablement il me traduisait "frosted spider "WEB ». J’ai pensé que c’était une erreur et j’ai donc repris la bonne vieille méthode du dictionnaire Français-Anglais, le mien date de 1995, et au mot « toile d’araignée » j’ai trouvé « cobWEB » !!!

On a cold December afternoon in 2016, I slowly approached a frosty spider web I had spotted earlier that day. But the tenant had already left.
She left me this canvas as a pretty lace doily.
The spider is a real silk factory and the silk threads make up its web.
You can admire the meticulous work that I compare to authentic craftsmanship.
The "TOILE", translation into French of WEB, is also the name commonly given to the WEB, no doubt in reference to all the connections and interconnections that make it possible to move from one subject to another. Like a spider, we weave links passing from one thread to another.
Small anecdote, I am French and I translate my posts into English using Google for my English-speaking subscribers. So I typed "toile d’araignée givrée" and invariably it translated "frosted spider WEB" hahahah. I thought it was a mistake and so I took the good old French-English dictionary method, mine dates from 1995, and the word "toile d’araignée" I found "cobweb" !!!
