Maya - Natural low key (5 Photos)

in Black And White4 months ago

This is my entry for the daily #monomad challenge hosted and curated by @monochromes.

Hello and happy weekend everyone on the community. I wish you had an awesome day today. It is another post for black and white portraiture series.

This shot was taken earlier on my photography study. Maya contacted me for a portraiture test shoot and he wanted it to be natural without any of the heavy edits. She requested for a low key settings with one simple lighting. This was my first ever session with her, because she had to travel for the work.

So I used my Canon 70D and my fifty nifty lens for this session.

Looking back to this photos reminds me of why did I started portrait photography. I was fascinated by natural look of people. All the details on their skins, eyebrows, hair, shape of the nose and lips. Plus their expression. I love all of that features on a person. The black and white photo gives me more emotion and unique feelings on every result that I get from a photo session.

To be honest I hate shadows on my early photography journey. But one day, I saw a black and white portrait of a man and the light being used made him looked strong and manly plus all the details on the face was visible to my eyes. It really made me change my views on portraiture.

That is all from me today. A bit unique post I think but I hope that all of you enjoyed reading it. I hope to see all of you again soon. have a great day and always stay safe. Cheerss!

I love these... the 3rd one is stunning. I love the texture of her skin compared with the texture of the t-shirt.

Thank you so much my friend. She actually have a good fair skin. Only that on black and white I can reveal so much more details.
