MONOMAD: Kuala Meuraksa Estuary

in Black And White2 years ago

Aerial view of the Kuala Meuraksa estuary. On the north side, or the top side of the picture is the central mainland of Lhokseumawe City, a small island separated by the Krueng Cunda or Krueng Lho' Seumawe rivers. Shot with the DJI Phantom 4 on Sunday 30/10/2022.

Some city dwellers spend their weekends relaxing on the beach near the estuary. They sat casually on the tide-created dunes. There, are middle-aged mothers with their kids spending time. The most prominent landmark is the Lhokseumawe Islamic Center building.

I measured with Google maps, and the distance between the sand dune where they relax and the landmark is 3 kilometers. Sometimes the image produced by the telephoto lens is a little deceiving. A Canon 100-400mm lens is mounted on the Sony ILCE-7M3. I moved the focus areas to them in the image below.

I observed fishing boats still doing their activities at sea even on holidays. I captured some moments there.
