Yesterday I read an article about how the city of Puerto Ordaz, Venezuela, had experienced the highest level of ultraviolet radiation this month. It's true, though, that the sun has been so harsh these past few days that it's even been difficult to walk around the city. Every step can be a challenge. However, with regard to photography, I always look for intense sunlight that creates a lot of shadow contrast in the subjects I'm trying to capture. Although a little less sunlight wouldn't be a bad thing, it would be perfect, to say the least. However, just as there can be a lot of sunshine, there are times when it suddenly rains. It's in small moments that you don't even realize a trail of water is falling from the sky.

Regarding the reasons for this series of photographs, it has to do with the fact that anything involving people on the move, on the street, in the midst of their daily routine, whether at work or simply doing their own thing outside, is part of the dynamic that one seeks to capture in contrast to the surroundings and all that contrast created by the shadows and the strong sunlight. Well, that's what I want to share with you for this hot but excellent day.

All photographs are mine.

Really good series this one! I love photography of people walking. Makes me always think where they were headed to! That mystery.
I love the contrast as you say with the strong shadows and the bright light.
Nice one!
That intense sunlight has created a strong contrast between light and shadow, and not only that, but when I look at the shadows of people walking by, they appear very sharp and strong to me. It's true that so much heat or light can sometimes make it oppressive to go outside, but the photographs are perfect. Even in the first photograph, for example, the blackest part is so intense that it looks like a cut-out with a space of absolute blackness.
Street photography is amazing; it captures everyone's daily life and their relationship with the streets and the environment in general. Excellent photographic composition. Best regards!
