I took all these photos on December 24th, although I couldn't post them that same day because I had a lot going on, like visiting my father and aunts. But I took advantage of the trip to snap a few pictures, including the first one, which gives a glimpse into the significance of December 24th, with Santa Claus as a universal symbol associated with the Christmas holidays. The other photos aren't related to Christmas; they're simply part of my daily routine.
As an adult, I haven't really celebrated these holidays much. At most, my wife and I have a small dinner, as usual, but it's not like when I was a child. We used to get together with lots of family, preparing all the food for Christmas dinner, listening to traditional Christmas music, and sharing family anecdotes. Those gatherings used to be very common, but then everyone started leaving the country and now they have their own family circles for activities. Now it's just me, my wife, and of course, all my cats as part of this family circle.
One of the best things about that day was the perfect weather, with radiant sunshine, after several days of rain, which isn't common in December in my country. It's usually a dry month, with plenty of sunshine and a bit of a chill, so I was inspired to take some photos of the street scene, capturing the shadows, tones, and textures.
