Given a radiant day, I couldn't miss a trip through the city streets in search of shadows, contrast, and certain shapes in the city's corners. The light, as I often say, was clean and direct, at a perpendicular angle for the time of day. It was undoubtedly a good day for taking photographs. It had been a while since I'd seen a day like this, which is usually common during summer Sundays, but since there's been a lot of rain lately, days like today were almost unheard of.
As always in this case, I like to capture human motifs or elements to create that harmony between silhouettes, shapes, and the environment. It's all a game of composition, where the lighting scheme and everything else deemed necessary to compose within the photographic frame come together. In short, everything lent itself to certain scenes, as I show in this post.
These are the scenes I'm showing for this day. They are fragments scattered throughout the city, small events that happen in mere seconds but are captured forever. With the subtlety of black and white in its aesthetic and visual contribution, it's the photographic universe for this day.
