Hello, and welcome back to all black and white Hive lovers. For today's #monomad contest I am choosing my favorite food photography. To be more specific it is about Japanese classics - sushi. Sushi looks like a simple dish but it is far from that. Just conquering how to cook rice properly can take you many years. Here, we are talking about perfect sushi, not the Walmart version of it, of course. But it is just rice, right? Yeah, and trust me it can go wrong in many directions. When the dish has just a few elements, all of them must be perfect. Is there another tip? Sure, freshness. Every sushi is about a fresh ingredient - fish. Sadly, because of our bad environmental management, there is hard to find a good fish. Most of them are full of microplastic and heavy metals, like mercury. Maybe sushi will be the first extincted national dish due to human ignorance. We must act now and make sure our kids will be able to enjoy fish in real life, not only in the virtual world. Till then, enjoy these sushi masterpieces which were utterly delicious.
