MONOMAD - Golf anyone?

in Black And White3 months ago

Hello and welcome back to all my Hive friends. Today I will share with you a few shots from the golf course. What can I tell about golf? Golf is a popular sport played on a course with a series of holes (the whole one is 18 holes). The primary objective of golf is to complete a course in as few strokes as possible. The strokes are made with so-called clubs.

Players use a set of clubs, each designed for different types of shots. Common clubs include drivers, irons, wedges, and putters. The ball used in golf has a specific design and is dimpled to improve aerodynamics. Drivers are meant for long start shots while irons and wedges are stiffer ones with higher angles for shorter shots. And putter is for finishing shot when one is on the green (the last smooth part of grass where the hole is)

A golf course is usually divided into 18 holes, each with a teeing ground, fairway, rough, and green. The distance and layout of each hole can vary widely. The teeing ground is your starting point, the fairway is a middle ground where you are supposed to play, the rough is the side part with usually higher grass and green is where the hole is.

Golfers aim to complete each hole in as few strokes as possible. The score is based on the number of strokes taken, and the player with the lowest overall score at the end of the round is the winner. Every hole has a par, which means strokes. If some hole is par 3, that means you should finish that hole with 3 shots.

Golf has a set of rules and etiquette that players are expected to follow. This includes issues like playing out of turn, maintaining a reasonable pace of play, repairing divots, and respecting the course. Whether played casually among friends or competitively at the professional level, golf is a sport that requires skill, strategy, and precision. It is known for its emphasis on etiquette and sportsmanship.

If you think golf is easy to play, you are wrong. At least 30-40 different muscles are actively involved in a golf swing. This includes major muscle groups as well as smaller stabilizing muscles that contribute to the overall movement and coordination. I can guarantee you, the next day you will feel some new muscles in your body. Now if you add walking, which can be easily around 15-20 km for 19 holes, that can be nice exercise. However, a lot of people use golf carts to cut time playing, but where is the joy in that, right?
