This is something I'm sure so many people get hung up on. It's crazy because even when I wasn't in the faith, I did pray. And never once think to myself, God never heard me.
I think the issue is people tend to treat God like a 'genie' or something. Grant them their wishes! But like you said...His kingdom come...His will.
And once you are o.k. with that, you accept everything He does for you.
