The Witness

Haven't been sharing much spiritual stuff on my blog recently but just had a crazy experience on the job that I had to share....

Brief story for context....I operate a mobile store of sorts for my job. And we have point of sale terminals that work off of the internet so that we can sell things to our customers. The internet provider we use while on the road is Starlink.

So Starlink recently changed their hardware, instead of the dish sitting on a tripod of sorts, it's almost flat to the ground. And because of that, it's not the easiest to spot. Yesterday while serving some customers I heard a 'crash' and knew immediately what happened.

A customer had driven over the curb where the satellite dish was placed and ran over the Starlink. She was very distraught at the accident and she was apologizing so much.

After a few minutes of talking, she understood that it happens, and we could continue to serve customers using the internet hotspot from my phone. The customer continued to shop at our store for the next 20 minutes or so.

The thing about this line of work, is that customers and I get to talk a lot. There's plenty of questions about our faith, our religion but also about our health message as we take principles outlined in the bible about how to live and eat properly.

The customer started to share her health journey with me a nd few other customers that joined the conversation and I was moved with great compassion.

She had been battling cancer for years, and even though the doctor only gave her months to live....She has been battling for almost a decade now. She didn't know the word in English (she was a new Canadian) but kept saying 'magic'...

A lady next to her said, no that is called a 'miracle'. She smiled!

What a moment!

You could see her face light up when the word miracle was mentioned and then the lady beside me asked the question....

"Do you believe in the Lord Jesus Christ?"

She explained that while not religious, she did believe in something bigger. And that's when the other customer and I got to share the gospel.

Now I'm not sure if that means she will seek for truth that we presented, but the seeds where planted for sure. There was a reason God had kept this woman alive and vibrant even with such a horrible diagnosis....Some may strike it up as coincidence.

I call it a miracle. My God is the great healer!

And I pray that she does look into how a life with Christ leads to so much freedom! A freedom that can only be found through a relationship with Him.

It's amazing how things work, with God....

A lady that ran over my satellite dish, ended up meeting with some believers and learned about the gospel of Christ. It's almost like....It was meant to happen :)

What will come of it? Only God knows....But I was taught a very valuable lesson about being a witness for Jesus....You don't need to 'push' your beliefs on others, but you can proclaim it at any time through every day life and the people you meet!
