As human beings, it's natural for us to make plans, come up with thoughts and goals for the future. But one thing we need to know is that, GOD is the only one who knows what's truly best for us. Therefore we need to take every plan we make, or have in mind to God, first. We need to commit it into the hands of the LORD before going forward.
Proverbs 19:21 (KJV) There are many devices in a man's heart; nevertheless the counsel of the LORD, that shall stand
Just as the scripture says, no matter what we've planned, what we've thought of or the goals of the future in our heart, Abba' s plans will always outlive every plan we have for ourselves.
ASSURANCE IN CHRIST THROUGH EVERY STORM
As children of God, we have the gift of assurance, because we are in christ. We can take everything that comes our way with confidence, because we know that all things work out for our good.
I once had a challenge back then, and it kept me in deep thought, you know, having to lose someone so dear to you. I was still very much young when I lost my dad and honestly, it wasn't easy on me, my siblings, especially my mum. I began to think and ask God questions like, is losing a parent the plan you have for me? how do you expect me to cope? What about my mum how will she continue nurturing us without her husband "my dad"?. But I got to understand that, all things work together for good unto them that LOVE GOD and to the glory of God, we're all doing great today.
Romans 8:28 (KJV)
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
We love God, and he loves us more than we can ever imagine, so how then, would he not have a wonderful, a beautiful purpose for us? Of course not. Definitely, we'll face trials, it won't be easy, but because we are called according to His purpose, there will be a turnaround in every negative situation.
GOD'S DIVINE PURPOSE SURPASSES HUMAN UNDERSTANDING
Sometimes, it's very hard, very difficult, infact.. It's impossible to understand God's divine plans/purpose for our lives and that leads us to the point where we know that we don't deserve his love, let alone a perfect plan for us. But he has chosen to save us, he took us as his children, he gave his only son to die for us.
2 Timothy 1:9 (KJV)
Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began.
We must take up the call, we must do his will, we must serve him in all we do.
John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that He gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him, should not perish but have everlasting life.
This scripture explains it all. God's sole purpose for us is to believe in his son, Jesus Christ and have eternal live. For whosoever believeth in him shall not perish but have everlasting life.
Therefore let us strive to fulfil GOD'S purpose in our lives and choose his way daily.
