Lunacia. A blessed land, rich with resource and where every day is better than the last. Sure, Chimeras still pop up every now and then, but they don't cause nearly as much trouble nowadays - especially with Axies coming together to fight back (and winning).
It wasn't always that way.
Chimera attacks were devastating in the past, and many fought bravely while attempting to stop them from causing more havoc. Not everyone survived, and some were forever lost.
You may ask: How can that be? Aren't they 'suspended' and able to be restored? Not always so. Spirits will move on without a vessel to hold them. It was not till the construction of the Shrine, and the trees bound with Shimenawa before we were able to save them from being lost. And so we remember those before.
A story of old, when Lunacia was young
Chimera terrorized all under the sun
All Lunacia despaired, and cried out for relief
The Royal Family then put out a decree
Six came forth, with their weapons in hand
3 were like gods, 2 were brave men
One more, a swordsmith of great regard
Whose creations must taste blood before being sent back to its scabbard
One more came forth, to gasps all around
The princess stepped forth, and laid down her crown
"I cannot stay here with our people in need"
With tears in their eyes, they sent her off on her steed.
The fight it raged on, in droves they still came
Bringing with them destruction, sorrow and pain
When all hope felt lost, a new way was found
To put special effects to the the items around
The tide, it then turned, salvation was here
All of Lunacia then began to cheer
Now every street and path is equipped
With that extra boost, to get Chimeras beat
So we remember today those who first came before
The 10,000 who pioneered, took the risk and came ashore
They saw the potential, they took on the load
And finally the airdrop, as it was foretold.
