For future reference for things like the horns and tail, you can use a spline to get your curve and get it to use taper shapes (which you can just hide from view and render).

You mean using curves for the horn and tail? it would have been a good idea
Yes I keep forgetting they're called curves in Blender, I use spline for the actual thing as that's what they were called in Lightwave (which was the first 3d app I used) and curve to describe the shape x_x
