Ya todos sabemos que hace unas semanas robaron alrededor de 600 millones de dólares de la red RONIN. Desde entonces, el "puente" de cambios (Katana), ha estado deshabilitado como medida de protección de la red y de sus usuarios (dicen). Muchas personas esperan una gran subida de tokens como AXS y SLP con el lanzamiento de Axie Infinity Origins, en lo cual, Katana es un factor importante. Hay usuarios, dentro de los cuales nos encontramos nosotros como empresa, que tienen dinero en monedas como WETH o USDC, que lógicamente no forman parte (directamente) del ecosistema de Axie Infinity. La pregunta que muchos nos hacemos es, ¿estará disponible Katana antes del lanzamiento de la Alpha de Origins?
We all know that about $600 million was stolen from the RONIN network a few weeks ago. Since then, the exchange "bridge" (Katana), has been disabled as a protection measure for the network and its users (they say). Many people are expecting a big rise in tokens such as AXS and SLP with the release of Axie Infinity Origins, in which Katana is an important factor. There are users, including us as a company, who have money in coins like WETH or USDC, which are logically not (directly) part of the Axie Infinity ecosystem. The question many of us are asking ourselves is, will Katana be available before the Origins Alpha release?

Primero que nada, hay que hacer otras dos preguntas. Si tu fueses un directivo de Sky Mavis, ¿activarías una red de cambios si aún no estás totalmente seguro de que no se repetirá la misma situación? Y tú como usuario, ¿preferirías que la red esté expuesta a hackeos, o que sea lo menos vulnerable posible, aunque esto tome más tiempo?
Lo más lógico, sería resolver la mayoría de las vulnerabilidades, de esto depende la fortaleza del proyecto y la confianza de los usuarios en el mismo.
Ya respondidas estas dos preguntas, podemos llegar a una conclusión. Ellos como empresa que dependen de la confianza de los usuarios en su proyecto y ecosistema, no se arriesgarán (y no deben) a activar Katana sin tener la mayoría de los problemas resueltos. Nosotros como usuarios debemos comprender que lo mejor es esperar el tiempo que sea necesario para que todo funcione de acuerdo a lo previsto.
Lo mas probable es que no esté activo para el lanzamiento de la Alpha de Origins. Pero como siempre, esto es solo la opinión de nosotros. También cabe la posibilidad de que logren resolver este problema antes de los esperado, y ojalá sea así.
First of all, there are two other questions to ask. If you were a Sky Mavis manager, would you activate a network change if you were not yet totally sure that the same situation would not be repeated? And you as a user, would you prefer the network to be exposed to hacks, or to be as less vulnerable as possible, even if it takes longer?
The most logical thing to do would be to resolve most of the vulnerabilities, since the strength of the project and the confidence of the users in it depend on this.
With these two questions answered, we can come to a conclusion. They, as a company that depends on the trust of users in their project and ecosystem, will not (and should not) risk activating Katana without having most of the problems solved. We as users must understand that the best thing to do is to wait as long as it takes for everything to work as planned.Most likely it will not be active for the Origins Alpha release. But as always, this is just our opinion. There is also the possibility that they will manage to solve this problem sooner than expected, and hopefully they will.
