Should I Dare or Not?
A little over a year ago, I bought the equipment to make natural vegetable wax candles and all the necessary accessories.
I produced several kilos of them, offering models in containers and others sculpted, in various shapes.
I tried to sell in parallel various objects that I bought in bulk, as well as various services.
I still have several kilos of unsold candles, most of the objects bought in bulk, and I was unable to sell absolutely ANY of the services I offered, I mean none.
This as a preamble to this question, which might seem trivial, for those who don't know my history...
Creative
I've always had the feeling of being creative.
In IT, with my innovative solutions that earned me the slogan "another solution brought to you by O.J." from my colleagues. As in IT development ideas, and so on.
I've always wondered how much I could enjoy myself with a 10W Laser engraver and a 3D printer.
Would I be able to, more easily, find clients to satisfy with these two tools?
The trick is that the technology has already evolved very well at this level, it nevertheless remains that these objects still cost quite a bit, especially for someone who has no job and even soon no more unemployment benefits.
Should I, again, take this kind of risk? And, how could this facilitate the sale of my creations? Especially since here in Belgium, attempting entrepreneurship is far from easy.
Even if I could try the "Smart" status.
Profitable? This Time?
Also, would I succeed in selling enough to make these purchases profitable? And to make a living from it?
I could nevertheless try again with the other objects in stock and the candles too.
Would my prices be competitive enough to make customers want to go through me, rather than big companies?
So many complicated choices. So many risks, and oh how much apprehension...
Needless to say, with the U.B.I. (Universal Basic Income), I would have answered the question very quickly.
Note: Not so simple to take risks when the assets don't follow.

J'ose ou pas?
Il y a un peu plus d'un an, j'ai acheté le matériel pour réaliser des bougies de cires végétales naturelles et tous les accessoires nécessaires.
J'en ai produit plusieurs kilos, proposant des modèles en contenants et d'autres en sculptés, aux formes diverses.
J'ai tenté de vendre en parallèle divers objets que j'ai acheté en gros, ainsi que divers services.
J'ai encore et toujours plusieurs kilos de bougies invendues, la plupart des objets achetés en gros et je n'ai su vendre absolument AUCUN des services que je proposais, j'ai bien dis aucun.
Ceci en préambule à cette question, qui pourrait paraître anodine, pour ceux qui ne connaissent pas mon passif...
Créatif
J'ai toujours eu la sensation d'être en créatif.
En informatique, avec mes solutions innovantes qui 'ont valu le slogan "another solution brought to you by O.J." par mes collègues. Comme en idées de développements informatiques, et j'en passe.
Je me suis toujours demandé à quel point je pourrais me faire plaisir avec un graveur Laser 10W et une imprimante 3d. Est-ce que je pourrais trouver plus aisément des clients à satisfaire avec ces deux outils ?
L'astuce, c'est bien que la technologie ait déjà très bien évoluée à ce niveau, il n'en reste pas moins que ces objets coûtent encore assez cher, surtout pour quelqu'un qui n'a pas de job et même bientôt plus de chômage.
Dois-je, encore, prendre ce genre de risques? Et, en quoi cela pourrait faciliter la vente de mes créations? Surtout qu'ici en Belgique, tenter l'entreprenariat est loin d'être évident.
Même si je pourrais tenter la "Smart".
Rentable ? Cette fois?
Mais réussirais-je à vendre suffisamment que pour rentabiliser ces achats ? et d'en vivre?
Je pourrais néanmoins retenter les autres objets en stock et les bougies aussi.
Mes prix seraient-ils concurrentiels que pour donner envie aux clients de passer par moi, plutôt que les grosses entreprises?
Que de choix compliqués. Que de risques, et ô combien d’appréhension ...
Inutile de dire, qu'avec l'A.U.I.S.P. la question, j'y aurais très vite répondu.
Note: Pas si simple de prendre des risques quand le patrimoine ne suit pas.

Smart oui .. sinon via l'IFAPME, il y a des formations "Je monte ma boîte" qui comprend plusieurs chapitres et il y a une IFAPME à Mons (près de l'hôpital Ambroise Paré).

Ce serait bien qu'on trouve comment écouler ton stock .. et faire un sondage dans le discord, par exemple, pour voir quel genre d'objets 3D pourraient les intéresser et quel est le budget moyen qu'ils pourraient consacrer à l'achat de ces objets, histoire de voir si ça pourrait être rentable.
