I prefer to get rid of it, bored of all the troubles for a place I will probably never build a house anyway ...

Totally understandable to avoid bureaucracy and contracts... I also search this dissociation from what binds us out of our freedom... Nothing is so simple, then sometimes we gotta choose in which way we want to follow...
