An experience in model making ...
I treated myself to a few small metal models from Temu, firstly because they are really inexpensive, but also because I like the designs, and it will give me something else to do besides computing. I also intend to make them pay for themselves with posts like this one.
This post, incidentally, will not show you how to build the models, just a brief presentation of what they are and the tools required. I will then do a post for each model, and if the results are good, I may order other models, depending on the feedback in the votes.
But let's be modest, because I don't have the hands of a craftsman. I'm more of a thinker than a doer, not to mention my rheumatism issues.
So if you like it, feel free to follow and vote to encourage me to continue with this concept.
The models I have chosen:
Gringott's Dragon (the simplest, in my opinion), a car (medium) and a knight in armour (complex).
As they are very small, I am delighted that I ordered this pair of glasses from Tému a few years ago. I use them for reading, but with stronger lenses I will be able to fold the mini tabs more easily.
However, I had no idea that specific tools were needed to do this, so I ordered them for just over £6... It's not excessive, and they can be used for other tasks as well.
Do you think I'll succeed? And would you like to see the result?
The tools will arrive in two weeks at the latest.
I had intended to give the car to my father-in-law, who loves anything with four wheels, but I'm hesitating to give it to him because of how complicated it is to assemble. I'll talk to him about it before trying it myself.

Une expérience de maquettisme ...
Je me suis offert quelques petites maquettes en métal de chez Tému, d'abord parce que cela ne coûte vraiment pas cher, mais aussi parce que les modèles me plaisent, et cela me fera faire autre chose que de l'informatique. Je compte bien aussi les rentabiliser avec des posts comme celui-ci.
Ce post, d'ailleurs, ne vous montrera pas la construction des modèles, juste une brève présentation de ce qu'ils sont et des outils nécessaires. Je ferai ensuite un post par réalisation, et si cela donne un bon résultat, je pourrais commander d'autres modèles, cela dépendra des retours en votes.
Mais soyons modestes, car je n'ai pas des mains d'orfèvres, je suis plus un cérébral qu'un manuel, sans oublier mes soucis de rhumatismes.
Donc si cela vous plaît, n'hésitez pas à follow et bien voter pour me donner envie de continuer avec ce concept 😛
Les modèles que j'ai choisis :
Le Dragon de Gringott (à mon avis le plus simple), une voiture (medium) et un chevalier en armure (complexe).
Comme c'est très petit, je suis ravi d'avoir commandé, il y a quelques années, chez Tému aussi, ce système de lunettes, je m'en sert pour lire, mais avec des verres plus grossissants je pourrai plier les mini languettes plus aisément.
Par contre, je n'avais pas idée qu'il fallait des outils spécifiques pour le faire, je les ai commandé, pour à peine plus de 6€... Ce n'est pas exagéré et ils pourront servir pour d'autres tâches aussi.
Pensez-vous que je réussirai ? Et avez-vous envie de voir le résultat ?
Les outils arrivent d'ici à deux semaines maximum.
A savoir, j'avais destiné la voiture à mon beau père qui adore tout ce qui a quatre roues, j'hésite à lui offrir vu la complexité du montage, je lui en parlerai avant de la tenter moi-même.
