Today, we were “stuck” at home because we were supposed to welcome a cybersecurity consultant.
He was supposed to come by to explain to Florence what Skyforce could offer her in terms of cybersecurity for her freelance secretarial business.
Except that the gentleman in question never showed up... Supposedly because of a misunderstanding, even though he had confirmed a firm appointment for Thursday at 11:30 a.m. And I insisted several times to be sure.
I insisted a lot because it's part of my curriculum in industrial computer science.
The problem is that it gave me work to prepare for the appointment, and I wanted to do things right. I even represented our LAN network:
Every connected device on every floor was represented... So he could see the entire LAN without having to move.
Then, since he still hadn't arrived, I wrote a little song for fun and to talk about Méta-Être...
Despite the time it took, the consultant still wasn't there, so we decided to eat, then I called his company and that's when his manager told me that the consultant wasn't coming because he didn't consider us to be a real SME.
Of course, the manager apologized. I said we weren't angry with anyone, that these things happen, and I even took the opportunity to ask for his contact details so I could apply for a job. Given the company's core business, he smiled but promised to pass my details on to the relevant departments, as he mainly worked in sales.
So, a wait that turned into an analysis of my network, the creation of a job opportunity, and a little song for Méta-être... I'm doing pretty well... I think.

Aujourd'hui, nous étions "Bloqués" à la maison, car nous étions censé accueillir un consultant en cybersécurité.
Il devait passer pour expliquer à Florence ce que la société Skyforce pouvait lui offrir pour la cybersécurité de son business d'indépendante en secrétariat.
Sauf que le monsieur en question n'a jamais montré son nez... Soit disant à cause d'un malentendu, alors qu'il avait bien confirmé un rendez-vous ferme ce jeudi a 11h30. Et que j'ai insisté plusieurs fois pour être sur.
J'ai beaucoup insisté, car cela fait partie de mon cursus, dans le graduat d'informatique industrielle.
Le soucis c'est que cela m'a donné du travail pour préparer le rendez-vous, je tenais à faire les choses bien. J'ai même représenté notre réseau LAN :
Chaque objet connecté, à chaque étage, est représenté... Ainsi il pouvait voir le LAN au complet sans devoir bouger.
Après, comme il n'était toujours pas arrivé, j'ai écrit une petite chanson pour m'amuser et pour parler de Méta-Être ...
Malgré le temps que cela nécessitait, le consultant n'était toujours pas là, on a décidé de manger, puis j'ai téléphoné à sa société et c'est là que son responsable m'a dit que le consultant ne comptait pas passer car il estimait qu'on était pas une vraie PME.
Bien sur le responsable s'est excusé. Et j'ai dit qu'on était fâché sur personne, que cela pouvait arriver, j'en ai même profité pour lui demandé ses coordonnées pour postuler, vu le core business de cette société, il a clairement souris, mais a promis de passer mes coordonnées aux services concernés, puisque lui était surtout dans service commercial.
Donc une attente qui s'est transformée en analyse de mon réseau, en création d'opportunité de travail et une petite chanson pour Méta-être... Je m'en sors plutôt bien... Je trouve.
