As i mentioned in my witness announcement post 11 days ago , I'm running my witness from home .
I use a low power mini-pc : it only uses something like 18Watt, the high markers are from my gaming pc doing 150-250 watt
It's easy to monitor this with the help of a smart plug and Home assistant.

Today we had the HF28 and with that came some changes to the Hive blockchain . I'm not goign to repeat what many others have already written so i just link to one of those posts : Hardfork post
At the end of the day nothing excited had happend with the fork , no problems detected so far so we could all sitdown and enjoy the sunset.
What i did notice is that last week when i made a post about checking your witness votes many people went to check indeed , other claimed they would check but still didn't move.
Today after the hardfork , a lot of witness votes changed places people that didn't update their witness intime lost a lot of votes and probably will lose a lot more this week.
Because witnesses that didn't update will no longer create a block for the new version of the blockchain.
So if you haven't already done so go and check your witness votes and see if the are running on 1.28.3 .

Make sure that your witness votes still counts !!
Outside the rain keeps pooring down, so that might give me more time to play with my servers and maybe start some extra nodes for the blockchain.
I just need see what nodes might help the chain the most right now.
And then there is the cat Jinx , she also demands attention every now and then, actualy come to think of it she is more demanding then the witness server .
The summer is gone , autumn is here plenty of rain.
Let's hope we will have a winter again like 2020 , with at least some desent snow, so that i can take some snow landscape photos and or timelapse .

Oh HF28 already done. I've been away from the blockchain for few days now, I guess I missed some news. Well, that's nice and even nicer that not much issues were detected and the chain is running smoothly.
We hope for the best and congratulations on successfully running a witness for a week and counting. Seems like you're enjoying it already.

There's no electricity at home right now. When the electricity comes back on, I'll try to verify and do it correctly so I can vote properly from the computer.
