Dr. Mohammad Ibrahim: The beginning of diabetic treatment in Bangladesh

Diabetes is one of the most common diseases in the world today. The number of people affected is increasing. Treatment of this incurable disease is regular. Bardem in Bangladesh is probably the largest hospital for diabetic patients in the world. Located in Shahbag, this 600-bed hospital is the dream of a great man. He is National Professor Dr. Mohammad Ibrahim.

Birth and education
Dr. Ibrahim was born on 31 December 1911. His family lived in Khare, a small village in Bharatpur, now part of Murshidabad in West Bengal. His father was the postmaster of the village. The handcuffs of his education are in the village school. He used to walk several miles to attend school regularly. Her father encouraged her to continue her studies. At his father's urging, he struggled to secure a scholarship. Scholarships were very rare for Muslim students in the old days.
