Bridging SPS & DEC Between Hive-Engine, Ethereum, BSC and Base: Linking Your EVM Wallet
Being able to purchase SPS and/or DEC on different chains allows everyone to use the ecosystem they’re most comfortable with, without having to go through a single chain or a centralized platform.
The available DEXs offer different advantages and allow the use of either a wallet compatible with Hive (such as Hive Keychain) or an EVM wallet (such as Metamask).
Depending on the tool we want to use, we can focus either on Hive-Engine in the first case or on Ethereum, BSC, and Base in the second.
Once the purchase is complete, however, it becomes necessary to move SPS and DEC to Splinterlands, since this is most likely where we’ll want these tokens to be available — either to take advantage of the benefits they offer (e.g., higher in-game rewards and staking rewards for SPS, or the ability to buy or rent cards with DEC) or to eventually move them to another chain.
Moving from one chain to another always requires a bridge, and in the case of Splinterlands, this service is provided by @sps.dao itself, which handles the process, making the user experience as simple as possible.
Linking Your Wallet
The bridging process can be managed from the official Splinterlands website, specifically through:
There are also alternative bridges provided by third-party services, such as the one offered by Monstermarket, but the one you find on the official site is definitely the most complete since it supports all available chains and has the most liquidity.
Once on the Splinterlands site, you’ll see this interface:
Here, you can select the source chain (I chose Binance Smart Chain) and, only the first time, you’ll need to link one of your EVM wallets.
Bridging requires making a transfer to the bridge itself, which must then recognize the transfer as yours to correctly credit it to your account.
The simplest way to do this is by linking your EVM wallet address to your in-game account — and that’s the reason for this step!
By clicking "LINK WALLET," you’ll be redirected to a new page where you can connect your wallet for all supported chains:
To complete the process:
- Select the chain you’re interested in (in my example, Binance Smart Chain);
- Click "Find My Address" (on the right, next to the magnifying glass icon);
- Confirm the message signature that will pop up in your EVM wallet (screenshot below);
- Check the box acknowledging that you must NOT connect a wallet from an exchange or any wallet for which you don’t own the private keys;
- Press "SAVE" and sign the confirmation transaction with Hive Keychain.
Done!
Now, when you return to the bridging page, you’ll notice that the "LINK WALLET" button has disappeared:
This means the operation was completed successfully, and you can now start a bridging transaction from the chain where you purchased SPS and/or DEC to your Splinterlands account. From there, you can use the funds however you prefer or transfer them to another chain.
Soon, I hope to show you this second part as well — the actual transfer of a token from a chain like Ethereum, BSC, or Base to your in-game account — giving you a complete overview of this process.

Trasferire SPS & DEC fra Hive-Engine, Ethereum, BSC e Base: Collegare il Tuo Portafoglio EVM
Poter acquistare SPS e/o DEC su chains diverse permette ad ognuno di usare l'ecosistema con cui si trova più a proprio agio, senza dover per forza passare da un'unica chain o da una piattaforma centralizzata.
I dex disponibili offrono vantaggi diversi e consentono l'utilizzo o di un wallet compatibile con Hive (come Hive Keychain) o di un wallet EVM (come Metamask).
A seconda dello strumento che vogliamo utilizzare possiamo poi rivolgere la nostra attenzione, nel primo caso, ad Hive-Engine oppure, nel secondo, ad Ethereum, BSC e Base.
Una volta completato l'acquisto, però, diventa necessario spostare SPS e DEC su Splinterlands, dato che qui è dove, con molta probabilità, vorremo avere disponibili questi token, sia per sfruttare i vantaggi offerti (ad esempio, maggiori ricompense ingame e da staking per SPS e possibilità di acquistare o noleggiare carte con DEC), che per spostarli eventualmente su un'altra chain.
Passare da una chain ad un'altra richiede sempre un bridge e, nel caso di Splinterlands, questo servizio è offerto dallo stesso @sps.dao, che si fa carico di gestire questa operazione rendendo l'esperienza d'uso per l'utente quanto più semplice possibile.
Collegare il proprio wallet
L'operazione di bridging è gestibile dal sito ufficiale di Splinterlands, collegandosi in particolare con:
Esistono anche dei bridges alternativi offerti da servizi terzi, come quello messo a disposizione da Monstermarket, ma quello che trovate sul sito ufficiale è sicuramente il più completo, dal momento che supporta tutte le chains disponibili, nonchè quello con maggior liquidità.
Una volta arrivati sul sito di Splinterlands, ci troveremo di fronte a questa interfaccia:
Qui potremo selezionare la chain di partenza (io ho scelto Binance Smart Chain) e, solo per la prima volta, dovremo poi collegare un nostro wallet EVM.
Compiere un'operazione di brdging richiede infatti di effettuare un trasferimento in favore del bridge stesso, il quale deve poi riconoscere il trasferimento come nostro, così da poterlo accreditare sul nostro account.
Un modo semplice per farlo è, appunto, collegare al nostro account ingame l'indirizzo del nostro wallet EVM... ed ecco spiegato il motivo di questo passaggio!
Cliccando su "LINK WALLET" verremo reindirizzati in una nuova pagina dove è possibile collegare il nostro wallet a tutte le chian disponibili:
Per farlo è sufficiente:
- selezionare la chian che ci interessa (nel mio esempio la Binance Smart Chain);
- cliccare su "Find My Address" (sulla destra, accanto alla lente di ingrandimento);
- confermare la firma del messaggio che si aprirà nel vostro wallet EVM (screenshot più in basso);
- mettere la spunta all'informativa che avvisa di NON connettere il wallet di un exchange o uno di cui non possediamo le chiavi private;
- premere su "SAVE" ed firmare la transazione di conferma con Hive Keychain.
Fatto!
Adesso, tornando sulla pagina dedicata alle operazioni di bridging vedrete che il tasto "LINK WALLET" è scomparso:
Ciò significa che l'operazione è correttamente conclusa e che potete adesso avviare un'operazione di bridging dalla chian sui cui avete acquistato SPS e/o DEC verso il vostro account su Splinterlands, da dove poi potrete utilizzare i fondi come meglio credete oppure trasferirli su un'altra chain.
Prossimamente spero di farvi vedere anche questa seconda parte, ossia quella relativa all'effettivo trasferimento di un token da una chain come Ethereum, BSC o Base in favore del nostro account ingame, così da fornirvi una panoramica completa di questa operazione.
