A beautiful sunny day.

Hello everyone dear friends and welcome back to my blog. I have finally finished my painting on a wooden board. It took me more than a month, 20 days ago I posted a preview of the painting commissioned by a client to cover an opening in a fireplace and today I can say with satisfaction that I have finished it.

It is a trompe l'oeil, a French word that means deceive the eye, in fact the main characteristic of a trompe l'oeil is to greatly accentuate the naturalistic aspect with the illusion of depth and the exaltation of visual elements in the foreground.

Why did I choose all very colorful subjects?

My choice to paint these very colorful and light-enhanced subjects was induced by the fact that the panel must be placed inside the opening of a fireplace in a dark place.

So my goal was to light up the dark of the fireplace with the colors of nature, my client who followed the steps of the realization was very satisfied.

As I entered the scene, I painted a round arch in stone, typical of farmhouses in the Tuscan landscape.

The particular pictorial subjects in the foreground, the rose and the butterfly, serve to visually remove the rural landscape and I painted birds in the sky to enliven the space.

Finally I sprayed a polishing spray to protect the oil paint film of the painting.

Una bella giornata di sole.

Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati sul mio blog. Finalmente ho terminato il mio dipinto su tavola di legno. Ci ho impiegato più di un mese, 20 giorni fa avevo postato un'anticipazione del dipinto commissionatomi da un cliente per coprire un'apertura di un camino ed oggi posso dire con soddisfazione di averlo finito.

Si tratta di un trompe l'oeil, parola francese che significa inganna l'occhio, infatti la caratteristicca principale di un trompe l'oeil è quella di accentuare molto l'aspetto naturalistico con l'illusione della profondità e l'esaltazione di elementi visivi in primo piano.

Perchè ho scelto tutti soggetti molto colorati?

La mia scelta nel dipingere questi soggetti molto colorati ed esaltati dalla luce è stata indotta dal fatto che il pannello va collocato all'interno dell'apertura di un camino in posto buio.

Quindi il mio obiettivo è stato quello di illuminare il buio del camino con i colori della natura, il mio cliente che ha seguito le fasi della realizzazione è stato molto soddisfatto.

Davanti come entrata sulla scena ho dipinto un arco a tutto sesto in pietra, tipico dei casali nei paesaggio toscani.

I particolari soggetti pittorici in primo piano, la rosa e la farfalla, servono ad allontare visivamente il paesaggio campestre e nel cielo ho dipinto dei volatili per movimentare lo spazio.

Infine ho spruzzato uno spray lucidante per proteggere la pellicola pittorica ad olio del dipinto.
