Stone staircase and other Italian beauties - watercolor sketches and photographs

Hello everyone dear friends and welcome back to my blog. Today I share a watercolor painting that depicts a characteristic glimpse of a small medieval village. It is a stone staircase between small houses with flower pots, and an elderly couple climbing up, an Italian glimpse.

In Italy, in the small ancient towns it is very common to come across these small jewels of medieval or renaissance architecture.

Typical corners, with arches and ancient doors, stone stairways, cross vaults, stone walls or Tuscan terracotta bricks, beautiful things that tourists admire all the time.

And yet capitals in gardens with citrus fruits, marble column bases, Roman or Gothic arches, ancient travertine vases to be discovered on walks.

In short, incomparable beauties that only in Italy can be admired, often all together in a few hundred meters, a delight for the eyes in observing beauty.

Scalinata in pietra e altre bellezze italiane - schizzi ad acquarello e fotografie

Ciao a tutti cari amici e ben tornati sul mio blog. Oggi condivido un dipinto ad acquarello che raffigura uno scorcio caratteristico di un piccolo borgo medievale. Si tratta di una scalinata in pietra tra piccole case con vasi fioriti, ed una anziana coppia che sale, uno scorcio italiano.

In Italia, nei piccoli paesi antrichi è molto frequente imbattersi in questi piccoli gioielli di architettura medievale o rimascimentale.

Angoli tipici, con archetti e portoni antichi, scalinate in pietra, volte a crociera, murature in pietra o mattoni in cotto toscano, cose bellissime che i turisti ammirano in continuazione.

E ancora capitelli in giardini con agrumi, basi di colonne in marmo, archi romani o gotici, antichi vasi in travertino da scoprire nelle passeggiate.

Insomma, bellezze ineguagliabili che solo in Italia si possono ammirare, spesso tutte insieme in poche centinaia di metri, una delizia per gli occhi nell'osservare il bello.
