The ancient work of the fields.

Hello everyone dear friends and welcome back to my blog. The watercolor I am going to present to you today has as its subject the ancient work of the fields. A scene that came back to me from childhood memories, when I saw the ox pulling the plow in the countryside.

I thought it was now an unusual scene, an ox, a farmer and a plow, it is very difficult to find them in the western countryside. So I decided to make a watercolor that represented the scene, with corollary ancient ruins.

I tried to give a romantic sense to the ancient work of man and animal, immersing them in a bright and serene light.

The sky with clouds in the background is very clear to highlight the strong contrast of the greens and shadows of the trees with the vegetation in the foreground.

I hope you enjoyed my watercolor, a hug from the Roman countryside.

Armando.
