One of the biggest problems with Splinterlands' economy, in my opinion, is the management of the DEC stablecoin, a currency created to support tokenomics but which has become a real problem over time. DEC was born before the governing SPS token, hence the difficulty in stabilizing the token's price near the $1 peg (1000 DEC = $1). To incentivize and maintain the DEC peg, the SPS->DEC burning mechanism was created, which was supposed to push up the price of SPS (lowering the total supply) and encourage DEC purchases to maintain the burning.
In short, the mechanism was well-designed, but unfortunately, it worked very few times, often coinciding with the announcement of the new card set. This was inevitably followed by low usage, combined with the large amount of circulating supply and the low number of players... The result at the moment is far from satisfactory, also due to a bear market that is certainly pushing the peg further away.
SPS is also depreciating as a result. Currently, the token's large circulating supply is offset by low usage. Burning has been stalled for months, and a new set is still a long way off. Staking and rewards aren't enough to incentivize further accumulation, but above all, a new wave of players who could reverse the trend is lacking.
There are obviously still many questions to be answered; the team is working hard to make the game more attractive. We hope to eventually attract the attention of some industry sponsors who could quickly revitalize the entire economy.

Uno dei grandi problemi dell'economia di Splinterlands, a mio avviso, è la gestione della stablecoin DEC, una moneta nata per supportare la tokenomics ma che nel corso del tempo è diventato un vero problema. DEC nasce prima ancora del governante token SPS, da qui la difficoltà di stabilizzare il prezzo del token vicino al valore peg $1 (1000 DEC = 1$). Per incentivare e conservare il peg del DEC, è stato creato il meccanismo burning di SPS->DEC, il quale avrebbe dovuto spingere il prezzo di SPS (abbassando la supply totale) e spingere gli acquisti in DEC per conservare il burning.
Insomma il meccanismo è stato progettato bene ma purtroppo ha funzionato davvero poche volte, spesso in concomitanza con l'annuncio del nuovo set di carte, ma poi inevitabilmente lo scarso utilizzo, associato alla grande quantità di supply circolante e allo scarso numero di giocatori... Il risultato al momento non è per nulla soddisfacente, complice anche un mercato ribassista che di certo allontana sempre più il peg.
Anche SPS si deprezza di conseguenza, al momento la grande quantità di circolante del token si scontra con uno scarso utilizzo, il burning è fermo da mesi e al momento il nuovo set è ancora lontano. Lo staking e le rewards non sono sufficienti ad incentivare ulteriori accumuli ma soprattutto manca una nuova ondata di giocatori che potrebbero invertire il trend.
Ci sono ovviamente ancora molti punti interrogativi da risolvere, il team lavora alacremente per rendere il gioco più attrattivo. Speriamo prima o poi di riuscire a catturare l'attenzione di qualche sponsor del settore che potrebbe rilanciare l'intera economia in poco tempo.

Io ho visto diverse volte scendere il DEC al di sotto del suo valore di PEG. Diciamo che fino ad oggi non sono mai stato molto preoccupato, leggendo però il tuo post ho compreso meglio il meccanismo che regola il valore stesso della moneta DEC. A questo punto, posso dire che effettivamente anch’io inizio a essere preoccupato, soprattutto perché non vedo che Splinterlands, nonostante a me piaccia, riesca ad attirare una certa massa critica di giocatori. Ormai sono passati anni dalla sua creazione. !PIZZA
