Where there is free or almost free money, vampires work to extract as much of it as possible, to the detriment of the goodness of a project or game which has instead created a certain reward system to incentivize users to be part of that project, with a revolutionary mechanism. Splinterlands was born as #play2earn, in part it is, although the term could suggest that investments are not necessary to play and be competitive and therefore earn.
Since the launch of $SPS as rewards in battle, tens of thousands of bot-farms have been created, i.e. accounts managed by a small number of users who, by renting cards from the market at a reduced price, take advantage of certain game dynamics, especially at a low level to earn $SPS and send them to the market, thus creating a slow but constant hemorrhage that certainly doesn't help the game's economy.
After banning the use of bots in Modern, from next season the *Wild Pass will be introduced, a fee to participate in the season equal to 40 $VOUCHERS OR 2000 $DEC. The tax was created to discourage owners of hundreds or thousands of bots from participating in the game, while those who hold a few accounts or even a single account will have almost no impact at all because the constant decrease in bots will proportionally increase the rewards, guaranteeing in averages many more $SPS from each win.
I use bots very often to play, I voted in favor of the proposal because I fully agree with fighting bot farms. I consider myself an investor in Splinterlands rather than a real player, unfortunately I don't have much time available but I have always believed in the game since the beginning of my experience. I continue to buy $SPS at a low price and increase my staking quota which now exceeds 205k!

Dal lancio di $SPS come rewards in battaglia, sono stati creati decine di migliaia di bot-farms, ossia account gestiti da un numero ridotto di utenti che, affittando le carte dal mercato a prezzo ridotto, sfruttano alcune dinamiche di gioco soprattutto a basso livello per guadagnare $SPS e inviarli sul mercato, creando così una lenta ma costante emorragia che di certo non aiuta l'economia del gioco.
Dopo aver vietato l'utilizzo dei bot nel Modern, dalla prossima stagione sarà introdotto il *Wild Pass una tassa per partecipare alla stagione pari a 40 $VOUCHERS O 2000 $DEC. La tassa è stata creata per scoraggiare i titolari di centinaia o migliaia di bot a partecipare al gioco, mentre per chi detiene pochi account o anche un solo account non sarà quasi per nulla impattato perché la costante diminuzi di bots aumenterà proporzionalmente le rewards, garantendo in media molti $SPS in più da ogni vittoria.
Io uso molto spesso il bot per giocare, ho votato a favore della proposta perché sono pienamente d'accordo nel contrastare i bot-farms. Io mi reputo un investitore in Splinterlands piuttosto che un vero e proprio giocatore, non ho molto tempo purtroppo disponibile ma ho sempre creduto nel gioco sin dall'inizio della mia esperienza. Continuo ad acquistare $SPS a basso prezzo e ad accrescere la mia quota staking che ormai supera i 205k!

Thank you for explaining what Wild Pass is. I had seen the term used here on PeakD and knew that it was something new coming to Splinterlands. I had ideas about what it might be and this is not what I was expecting. I saw your post just in time to adjust my spending from PeakD earnings for this upcoming season.
I guess time will tell if this is worth it.
