Yesterday my family and I decided to dedicate a day to shopping in the streets of the city of Bari, the capital of the Puglia region. Like all big cities, it is the ideal place to buy anything and find incredible shops, impossible to visit in small towns.
In a side street in the center, we discovered this beautiful shop of LEGO, the most famous brick company in the world. Since I was a child, I have built hundreds of LEGO models: ships, fire stations, pirate islands, cars, planes and castles. I played for days to demolish and rebuild, or to reinvent new structures and shapes with the bricks in my possession.
My son literally went crazy at the sight of the bricks, he approached each of them dangerously, he took the boxes and waved them, he wanted to buy whatever he saw, he was clearly in full excitement from LEGO 🤣
If you are a LEGO enthusiast, this is where you will truly find yourself in Wonderland. There are so many amazing constructions to make. In addition there is a wall where there are various containers of bricks, each customer takes a large plastic container, a large glass, and can put all the bricks he wants in it. The price is defined by the total weight. Kind of like going to a candy store and stocking up on chocolates and jujubes.
Despite the lunch time, the shop was already full of customers, I particularly appreciated the giant format of some human-sized characters, really impressive to see them in the eyes without several stooping. The staff is incredibly knowledgeable and patient, the guy we turned to was very kind to my son too, accompanying him to visit a LEGO section dedicated to trains, his great passion.
LEGO stores are much more than just a shop, enthusiasts can find any building here and can take advantage of the advice of fully qualified employees. For adults it is a blast from the past, memories that are still alive in the mind and pleasantly come back to the surface!

Ieri io e la mia famiglia abbiamo deciso di dedicare una giornata allo shopping tra le strade della città di Bari, capoluogo della regione Puglia. Come tutte le grandi metropoli, è il luogo ideale per comprare qualsiasi cosa e trovare negozi incredibili, impossibile da visitare nelle piccole città.
In una traversa del centro, abbiamo scoperto questo bellissimo negozio della LEGO, la più famosa azienda di mattoncini al mondo. Sin da bambino, ho costruito centinaia di modelli LEGO: navi, caserme dei pompieri, isole dei pirati, macchine, aerei e castelli. Ho giocato per giorni interi a demolire e ricostruire, oppure a reinventare nuove strutture e forme con i mattoncini in mio possesso.
Mio figlio è letteralmente impazzito alla vista dei mattoncini, si avvicinava pericolosamente ad ognuno di essi, prendeva le confezioni e le agitava, voleva comprare qualsiasi cosa vedesse, era chiaramente in piena eccitazione da LEGO 🤣
Se sei un appassionato della LEGO, qui è il luogo in cui ti troverai davvero nel paese delle meraviglie. Ci sono così tante incredibili costruzioni da realizzare. Inoltre vi è una parete in cui ci sono vari contenitori di mattoncini, ogni cliente prende un grande contenitore di plastica, un grosso bicchiere, e può metterci tutti i mattoncini che vuole. Il prezzo è definito dal peso totale. Un po' come andare in un negozio di caramelle e fare scorta di cioccolatini e giuggiole.
Nonostante l'orario di pranzo, il negozio era già pieno di clienti, io ho apprezzato particolarmente il formato gigante di alcune personaggi a grandezza umana, davvero impressionanti vederli negli occhi senza diversi chinare. Il personale è incredibilmente preparato e paziente, il ragazzo a cui ci siamo rivolti è stato molto gentile anche con mio figlio, accompagnandolo a visitare una sezione LEGO dedicata ai treni, la sua grande passione.
I LEGO store rappresentano molto più di un semplice negozio, gli appassionati qui trovano qualsiasi costruzione e possono usufruire del consiglio dei dipendenti assolutamente qualificati. Per gli adulti è un tuffo nel passato, ricordi ancora vivi nella mente e che piacevolmente tornano a galla!

As a kid LEGO was my favourite thing to play with. I call it a thing because I can't call it a toy, since its so much more then a toy!
Thankfully my son also LOVES LEGO, so I grab any chance I get and build some stuff with him.
He's 5 years old now, and he started when he was 3 (!!), when my brother bought him a mini set with a police car. He's been in love with LEGO ever since.
Of course we build some new sets we bought him over past two years, but we also build some sets my parents saved from the time I was a kid. And those are sets from mid 90s 😍
Only downside to LEGO is when kids are young and don't have sense of order, your room can look like this:
We also have a LEGO store here in Zagreb, but its nowhere near as big as the one you were in, but we can still spend the whole day there if we wanted to.
