I’m starting to believe that it is human DNA to compare. We live our lives in such a way that we compare them with another person's life. Comparison was never a problem before the Internet because the best thing you could do before the Internet was to compare yourself with your neighbor, and the greatest things you could buy were what your neighbors were buying most time it’s not always harmful but still bad. Still, people don’t get easily broken from it.
We are in the area of the Internet where comparison is not only dangerous, it can steal your joy just because every time you open the Internet, you will always find somebody better than you and what makes it crazy is that it compares you with billions of people around the world, so there is always a chance that there is somebody out there somewhere that is living better than you and is more happier than you. You will always find them in your timeline.
Financial measurement
A lot of people spend their money in a way to measure their lives with what they see online or with their neighbors which is why some people go with the trend. They are always in for things that are trending. They believe that this is what people are doing, and that is what they should be doing also and that is how they spend their money. Some people don’t go with that and go with the bare minimum of how to spend money and this might sound good to you, but you have to stay away from spending above your means.
What some people call minimum might not be realistic to you because because when people tell you minimum, they’re giving you an expectation and they want you to leave in the expectation and this is where you might have a problem because the expectation might be so much for you, you might be living above your means trying to live in the expectation and the same thing goes with when you use your finances to measure another person’s life you are using your finance to copy how to compare how you should live your life which can be detrimental to your savings.
Expectations
We are in a world where it is easy for you to have an expectation, we consume a lot of information every day on how to leave your life on also, how we are supposed to live our lives, but in reality, it is just an expectation proposed by the Internet and wider environment. The way we are supposed to leave. Life should be personal to each individual because we have different family who we have different responsibilities. What some people might call minimum might be too much for you. It is actually easy to compare these days with the Internet and the environment.
