Today a friend of mine that she noticed she has been spending too much of recent and she was wondering if she had been using money for a particular thing she wasn’t spending on before, she showed me her transaction history and I didn’t see a big deal in it,this is applicable to young teenage girls and youths who wonder how the money in their account disappears.i asked her how much she fixed her nails and she said $20 and I’m like is that how much you’ve been spending, she said before she used to do press-on and now she has started doing acrylic nails and the one she used to fix before was about $15 there was already increase in the amount she’s fixing her nails, that’s not even the only thing,on a normal day she takes two cabs per day and now she’s taking three and I’m like when you calculate some little things it’ll result into a big amount, she was already eating outside, she was no longer cooking at home as much as she used to,if she cooks at home it won’t cost her much but eating outside will cost more.
People always seem surprised when they do statement of account, even data, when we calculate the amount we spend on data per month we’d be shocked, but we can’t do without going online in a day, little things like this are the things that take our money low key,but there are certain things that we need to spend money on and that’s what will lead to my talking about needs and wants.Needs are the essential thing we need in order to survive and they’re things we can’t do without like shelter, food and clothes.wants are mere desires that humans have that we can do without, wants are just like things we just see and feel we need to have like cars,iPhones and other things that we desire and aren’t urgent.
If we are able to remember that some things are not really Important as some other things then we’ll create a list in order of preference and in order of urgency. It will help minimize the level at which we spend money and it also prevents impulse buying.
