Peace is something you create not something you wait for.
We tell ourselves we want peace. That we want serenity. But mental clarity and the feeling of emotional balance and security does “await us.” It doesn’t sit and probe abiut in the corner waiting for you to come meet it. Peace is a manifestation
You can’t expect the world to wait for you and appeal to your emotions. Neither can you expect to pause time. That’s not how the world works. It’s a rollercoaster. There are thousands of personalities you will meet, indifferences that you face, and deadlines you come across. At the same time you will feel a wave of emotions as time goes on. These emotions can push you into doing all different soughts of things, negative and positive. But what’s important is how you regulate and control these emotions. Because they cost.
We bring about peace by telling ourselves that our state of mind isn’t a remote controlled by others. People make mistakes by reacting to things. Feeling them. Internalising what’s said to them and creating a constant state of mental disarrangement. This is how your psychological world transforms into a slave dictated by others. You’re always affected by what’s being said. Or how your perceived. Don’t get me wrong, sometimes This type of thinking may do some good and gets us to see what may be wrong with ourselves and how to correct it. But when you constantly things about what other people might say, you find yourself always sacrificing your peace and your self respect dwindling away.
Protect your mental space. You only give power to what you give attention to. Your focus on what’s being said is what gives words weight. Withholding your negative thoughts, reshaping your thinking pattern and concentrating your mind on matters is what gives you peace.
