Real love

Real love is not always flowers, sweet messages, and perfect moments.

Sometimes love looks like staying when the excitement fades. It looks like having difficult conversations instead of running away. It looks like choosing each other even when life becomes stressful, boring, or uncomfortable.

People often confuse love with the feeling someone gives them. But feelings change. Some days you will feel deeply connected. Other days you may be tired, irritated, or emotionally distant. That does not automatically mean the love is gone.

Real love has consistency.

It is checking on someone even when you have nothing interesting to say. It is remembering the small things. It is apologising when you are wrong. It is respecting boundaries. It is making an effort even after the honeymoon phase has passed.

Love is not supposed to feel like a movie every day.

There will be arguments. There will be misunderstandings. There will be days when one person needs more patience than affection. There will be moments where loving someone means correcting them, giving them space, or simply sitting beside them in silence.

That does not make the relationship less romantic.

Sometimes the deepest form of love is incredibly ordinary.

It is the person who keeps showing up.

The person who does not disappear whenever things become difficult.

The person whose actions continue to say, “I am here,” even when there are no flowers, no butterflies, and no perfect words.

Real love is not measured by how beautiful someone makes every moment feel.

It is revealed by how consistently they care when the moment is no longer beautiful.

That is where love stops being just a feeling and starts becoming a choice.
