One of the most important things is knowing that whatever little decision you fail to make today you’re going to suffer early tomorrow, a good example is not preparing for exams. When I was at university, we had people who as soon as we resumed school, started preparing for exams. Some people had to wait for three days before the exam they started reading. This approach doesn’t guarantee success but those who started reading early have a better chance of passing the exam.
The truth is nothing is guaranteed in this world and just because you are doing something better doesn’t guarantee a better result but everything we do in life actually counts. We have some people who don’t do anything but still get the results you work hard to achieve. If you look at life from this perspective you realize that it is the easiest way to make mistakes. Most people who don’t do anything to get the result have people who have done the work or have the resources that you don’t have.
The trap
Another common example is comparing hard work to working smart. Indeed, hard work doesn’t guarantee money, but you need to work hard, and that is where you’re going to learn how to work smart. If you don’t work hard, you might not get the secret to working Smart. Most times the secret to working smart reveals itself to people who have put in the work. You can get this secret but it’s mostly from the people that I’ve put in the work in the past or because of the resources.
Which is why you mustn’t compare yourself to anybody some people have the money, the power, and the resources to get whatever information they need, and also while you are thinking that they’re not doing anything with their life, they are making money, which is also working for them. This is a trap most people fall into, They want to copy certain people not facing the reality that we all have different backgrounds, different beliefs, and also different resources to get information. When you copy people and you don’t put all these things into consideration you might be setting yourself up for failure.
Something must cover up
Some people don’t make very good decisions and still find a way to maneuver life and get better results, the truth is, they have something covering for them. A very good example is a son of a rich man who is not to do anything if you’re from a very poor background and you’re comparing yourself to that person, the father's resources, and money in the future might change his destiny which covers for him but the question is, what do you have to cover for you? Most people who choose to do bad or live a way of life or choose to do the opposite of everything good that might have helped them have things that could cover for them and if you just look at them from a far and guess that you could compare yourself with them you will fail.
