RE: The system is not broken; we are.

It is like wanting a woman with big buttocks who is beautiful, wealthy, faithful, a good cook, down to earth, God-fearing, and, most importantly, a virgin.

People want Hive to be everything they have hoped for while gaining widespread adoption without their involvement.

This fragment is precious! 😄 And true. We hold on to impossible standards sometimes, don't we? And the interesting part is that, the community being "decentralized" (if I can say that), we might hold on to different standards too, maybe even contradictory.

Sort:

Ww truly hold on to standards that are only comparable to web2. I have read a lot of posts about people complaining always, funny this is that they're not even doing anything to match their complaints. Over the years some of them have left and sold their position and they'll probably come back someday to still complain, it's saddening

I slightly disagree here. We have different standards on Hive. Or at least different core opinions on certain aspects. Sometimes they are reconcilable, other times, they are not. But most often they don't feel like standards, but more like divergent interests.
