Where should I even begin when talking about #SPS, the governance token of Splinterlands? To be honest, it’s quite disappointing to see SPS trading near its lowest levels right now. Here is the high level summary of the SPS (Splintershards) token stats picked from the Splinterlands website.
Circulating Supply: 1.51 billion SPS
Staked Tokens: 999 million (≈66% of supply)
Liquid Tokens: 515 million (≈34% of supply)
Market Price: $0.0070 per SPS
Market Cap: ~$19.38 million
It is clearly evidenet that a large portion i.e. 66% of SPS is staked, indicating strong community confidence and long-term holding sentiment. Just that the price of SPS is disappointing, the high staking ratio suggests that many players/users prefer earning staking rewards over selling their tokens, showing belief in the project’s future potential. Here is my SPS bag with 406K staked that is worth $2.9K+ dollars as of writing this article. There were times when a stake lesser than this used to be above $50K+ and see where we are now.. Welcome to the crypto world...anything is possible here...
My #SPS Stake target 400K+ Achieved - What NeXt?
In terms of #SPS staking rewards then at present the APR here is more than 10% and all #SPS that I get is redirected back to the staking pool. At the same time I have my license rewards staked and it is also getting me decent #SPS. I am not claiming everyday but when I do login to splinterlands website then the first thing is to claim all the rewards and increase my stake in the staking pool. Looking at the price of SPS, I also decided to swap some of my HIVE for SPS which got me around 3K+ SPS and all of it was staked to accomlish my GOAL for SPS... Now what NeXt?
As such there is no concentrate plan. First I am not selling any of those SPS tokens and whatever I am earning as rewards is going to add up to the staking pool. I was thinking to raise the bar and the next pit stop will be 500K+ SPS in the staknig pool. I am also earning decent #DEC tokens via renting cards and delegating my SPS. Hence this DEC earned will be leveraged to buying SPS. I was also thinking to sell some of my cards which are spare and swap it all for SPS. Therefore in general my foscus is around building the SPS stake and get to that 500K+ mark as quickly as possible. I just caluclated via the beeswap if I were to get all those 100K+ SPS now it is gona cost be around 5K+ #HIVE which at current price of HIVE is equal to $700 aprox. Either I invest all this money in one go or just wait for the rewards to build up and rely on other passive income streams that I have created here on the HIVE Blockchain. I am going to choose th later and see how it goes and at times will also be buying in bulk as opportunity stikes.
