I was not supported Kante before, but when I watched what this guy did in champions league, I discovered that Nkolo Kante should be the winner of the price. Though, it is very difficult for defensive midfielder to win the price because it is being judged by the number of goals and assist you have. That is the reason most times, it is the players that score many goals and have many assist that are always the winner. It is exceptional case you see defenders or defensive midfielders can win it; and it is rarely happens. Since I have been watching football, I only saw one, which is cannavaro.
Cannavaro was voted 2006 ballon D'or winner, that is 15 years ago. He was the third defender to win the European Football of the year. He was outstanding in the World Cup, he put on masterclass performance in Juventus and World Cup. Nothing FIFA could do than to give him because everyone saw his performance.

Yeah. I think they still remain the favorites and certainly got what it takes to win it at the end. If France fails to lift it, Kante will still be in the poll position considering his UCL performance
