Observing Rules Of The Battles And Following It Diligently Can Take You Leaderboard Without Dropping Points
Hello friends and how are you doing, just want to talk about this tonight. Observing the rules of every battle you play can make you top whatever league you are playing. I noticed that recently you can win streaks when observing the rules of a particular battle you are about to play.
In fact, splinterlands' game is about the monsters and summoners you have, the level of your cards and your collection power; all matters to this game but you must also understand the rules of the battles to be able to win battles and be on top of the leaderboard.
I will be talking about splinterlands game rules in this article.

TARGET PRATICE RULE

Target practice: all range and magic attack monsters have the snipe ability
REVERSE SPEED RULE

Reverse Speed: Monsters with the lowest speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading melee.
Looking at the both rules in this battle, you need to understand that the selected monsters have to be monsters with the lowest speed. Selecting monsters with the highest speed simply means the monsters will not attack faster in the battle.
Reverse speed simply means monsters with lowest speed will attack first as you can see that monsters with one speed attacks first in the battle.
Target Practice means magic and range attack possessed snipe ability which will make them attack in the middle.
Uriel was my first choice in this battle, to avoid Uriel from being eliminated in the battle: i used shieldbearer because of its taunt ability. By the time my shieldbearer would be eliminated, Uriel and other monsters might have attacked and eliminated the most important monsters in my opponent's lineup.
Used shieldbearer was a systematic way to draw away opponent monsters from their initial target since most of the monsters attack monsters with taunt ability.

UNPROTECTED MONSTERS RULE

Unprotected monsters: monsters do not have any armor and do not get armor from abilities r summoner buffs.
NOXIOUS FUME RULE

Noxious Fume: All monsters start the battle poisoned
The biggest mistake made by my opponent was to use queen mycelia in this battle because the rules of the battle have already said summoner or monsters will not give any armor. If you use any monster or summoner with armor ability, it will not reflect. As you can see, queen mycelia does not give any armor despite being a monster that gives friendly monsters additional armor.
Immunity monsters should have been preferable in this battle as the poison ability does not have power over immunity monsters.
Click here to watch how to use cleanse ability when poison rule is given. Looking at the arrangement of my opponent, I never thought I could win the battle. Since I did not use immunity, I came up with monsters with healing ability as they will keep on increasing their health in each round of the battle. I did not use these healing ability monsters in the first position, but I knew that the moment the first monster is eliminated, the sea monster will lead the battle and by the time the sea monster is eliminated, I have already won the battle.
I also used monsters with a high number of health so that it will take time to be eliminated in this battle.

ARMOR UP RULE
Armor Up: all monsters have two armor in addition to their normal armor stat.
EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY RULE
Explosive Weaponry: All monsters have the blast ability

My opponent was very strategic using creepy ooze to reduce the speed of all my monsters. I was much smarter by using the kraken and sea monster together. I knew sea monster would help in second position because of its healing ability. If I mistakenly used any monsters aside from sea monster in second position, I would have been defeated.
I was very conscious of explosive weaponry and I added crustacean king to my selection, to keep on giving the kraken health and I placed it in fifth position so that it would not be affected by blast ability.
I placed water elemental in fourth position so that if kraken and sea monster are eliminated, it would keep on increasing its health even though it is affected by blast ability.
I added a sneaky monster with magic ability to attack from behind.

*SPREAD FURY RULE

Spreading Fury: All monsters have the enrage ability
The moment I saw this rule, I knew that living lava was the best option for me to use as the first monster due to shield ability. Despite the thorns ability of my opponent summoner that gave thorns to all friendly monsters, I still won the battle.
I knew it would be very difficult to pull off living lava: enrange was activated in living lava that increased its melee to 6; this was the reason mycelic infantry was quickly eliminated in the battle.

UP CLOSE & PERSONALL

UP Close & Personal: Only monsters with melee attack maybe used in the battle
Immediately when I saw the logo, I knew that only monsters with melee attack would be available to battle.
Hence, i had a thought that my opponent may use mylor crawling, that was the reason i did not use serpentine spy because with just an attack the thorns ability would destroy it. I chose a monster with a high number of health which happened to be Fineas Rage. I used creepy ooze to reduce the speed and furious chicken to delay attack from behind or from opportunity monsters.
AIM TRUE BATTLE

Aim True: Melee and range attacks always hit their target
Watching this battle you will understand that all monsters did not mix their target. Therefore it is very difficult to see melee and range attack monsters to mix their target.
Hence, you need monsters with high speed for this kind of battle, and you need to bring in monsters that can reduce the speed and health of opponent monsters so that you can win the battle.
Looking at my lineup, I made sure I brought in creepy ooze to do that job for me; that was the reason most of my monsters attacked before my opponent.
OPPORTUNITY RULE

When you see this type of picture, it is an opportunity and the lowest health will be attack first, but if there is taunt monster in the lineup, the taunt monsters have to be eliminated first due to taunt ability.

Because of the taunt ability in both player lineups, all the monsters kept attacking monster with taunt ability: until the taunt ability monster was destroyed, that was when monsters started attacking monsters with lowest health.

HOLY PROTECTION RULE
Holy Protection: All monsters have the divine shield ability.

When you see this type of rule while selecting monsters, you need to take your time and arrange your monsters very well.
Though it depends on how powerful your monsters are, knowing the best monsters to use can make you win the battle. I have been paired with players that are in the silver league, yet was defeated.
Holy Protection will not allow the first targeted attack to have any effect on the target monsters. This is the type of battle where I love all my monsters to fight in one direction, and inclusion of blast ability monster to remove holy protection from the second monster.

EARTHQUAKE RULE
Earthquake: Non flying monsters take 2 melee damage at the end of each round.

You need flying ability monsters to avoid the health of your monsters being damaged in each round of the battle.
Flying ability summoner will cover all your monsters whether they have flying ability or not.
MAYHEM MELEE RULE
Melee Mayhem: Melee attack monsters can attack in any direction

When you come across this type of rule in battles, you need to make sure you arrange strong monsters because attacks can come in any direction. No matter where the position of melee monsters, it will surely attack. We know that living lava, grunt, sea monster, and many more do not attack when they are in positions other than first position. LOST LEGENDARY RULE
Lost Legendary: Legendary monsters may not be used in the battles

All legendary monsters may not be available to use in this type of rule.
BACK TO BASIC RULE
Back To Basic: Monsters lost all abilities

Melee monsters can only attack in first position in these types of battles. Hence, it can not attack in any position again when a back to rule battle is applied. Range attack monsters can not attack in the first position but are very active from second position to the last position: magic monsters can attack in any position of the battle.
Therefore, I use magic attack monsters frequently in this type of battle rule.

ODD ONES OUT RULE
Odd Ones Out: Only Monsters with odd mana cost may be used in battles

Only monsters in odd mana are available in this type of battle rule; odd mana number like 1, 3, 5, 7, 11.
