Good morning to all my Hivers friends! Yesterday I took the opportunity for a short walk, before the rain came down. Sigh, damn rain, I just can't stand it. I can't stand umbrellas either, so I'll let you imagine my mood when it rains....
As I was saying, I took the opportunity for an evening walk and decided to go to one of the city's viewpoints. There are many viewpoints in Naples, all beautiful.
But the San Martino viewpoint, for me, is always the most impressive. During the day it is beautiful to look at the whole city, but at night I think it is more fascinating. Seeing the cityscape illuminated by the moon and the artificial light of the street lamps is something magical.
The San Martino viewpoint is named after the Charterhouse of San Martino, which is located right behind this kind of 'terrace'.
To get to this spot you need to climb the Vomero hill and you will find the Belvedere of the Certosa di San Martino.
If you find yourself visiting Naples, apart from visiting the historic centre and the seafront of course, I highly recommend visiting the Vomero district and discovering some of the city's most beautiful viewpoints.
Naples is beautiful from every corner, from every street, from every balcony.
If you have never been to Naples, I highly recommend you come because you will be captivated by everything. I, who was not born here but moved here to study, can assure you that the clichés about Naples and Neapolitans are all nonsense. Naples is wonderful and the Neapolitans made me feel at home from day one. Something that did not happen in other experiences I had in other Italian cities. But with this I do not want to belittle some cities to the detriment of others, I just want this story of Naples as a cliché to end.
Once the walk was over, I took some photos (which you will find later) and resumed my way home. I really needed a good walk!
Napoli dall'alto!
Buongiorno a tutti amici Hivers! Ieri ne ho approfittato per una breve passeggiata, prima che venisse giù la pioggia. Sigh, maledetta pioggia, proprio non la sopporto. Non sopporto neanche gli ombrelli, quindi vi lascio immaginare il mio stato d'animo quando piove...
Dicevo, ne ho approfittato per una passeggiata serale e ho deciso di raggiungere uno dei punti panoramici della città. A Napoli ci sono molti punti panoramici, tutti bellissimi.
Ma il punto panoramico di San Martino, per me, resta sempre il più suggestivo. Di giorno è bellissimo guardare l'intera città, ma di notte secondo me è più affascinante. Vedere il panorama cittadino illuminato dalla Luna e dalla luce artificiale dei lampioni è qualcosa di magico.
Il punto panoramico di San Martino, prende il nome dalla omonima Certosa di San Martino che si trova proprio alle spalle di questa specie di "terrazza".
Per arrivare in questo punto bisogno salire sulla collina del Vomero e troverete appunto il Belvedere della Certosa di San Martino.
Se vi trovate a visitare Napoli, oltre che visitare ovviamente il centro storico e il lungomare, vi consiglio vivamente di visitare il quartiere del Vomero e scoprire alcuni dei punti panoramici più belli della città.
Napoli è bella da ogni angolo, da ogni strada, da ogni balcone.
Se non siete mai stati a Napoli, vi consiglio vivamente di venirci perchè resterete ammaliati da tutto. Io, che non sono nato qui, ma mi ci sono trasferito per studiare, vi assicuro che i luoghi comuni su Napoli e i napoletani sono tutte fesserie. Napoli è stupenda e i napoletani mi hanno fatto sentire a casa dal primo giorno. Cosa che invece non è successa in altre esperienze che ho avuto in altre città italiane. Ma con questo non voglio sminuire alcune città a discapito di altre, voglio soltanto che questa storia di Napoli come luogo comune finisca.
Finita la passeggiata, scattate alcune foto ( che troverete in seguito) ho ripreso la mia strada verso casa. Mi serviva proprio una bella passeggiata!
