You have a great argument. However I think web3 has established a huge mainstay, the tech are Google, Facebook and YouTube, and they're all web2 based. We still don't have powerhouses as this when it comes to crypto, except BTC making all the waves and gaining all the attention.
However, I agree that web3 is inevitable and it'll eventually make a mainstay with widespread adoption as well.
