Splinterlands: My First Sale of GRAIN in exchange for DEC via the TRADE HUB feature
Splinterlands has recently celebrated 6 years since its birth.
When Splinterlands was born I did not know Hive and therefore did not have assisted to its birth but shortly after discovering Hive I also became a Splinterlands player.
I have been a Splinterlands player since September 2019 and to date I have played many battles and continue to do so regularly because even though I play on many blockchain-based games, Splinterlands is my favorite blockchain game.
One of the aspects I have always liked about Splinterlands is the ability of the development team to make continuous improvements and add new features.
The only aspect I never liked was the choice to tolerate bots for too long but I have shared my personal thoughts on this topic several times in several of my previous posts...
In today's post I want to share my first use of a useful and recent feature introduced by Splinterlands: the Trade Hub.
The Trade Hub is a useful feature recently introduced that allows players to trade resources produced in land plots for DEC and vice versa.
Right now using the Trade Hub it is possible to:
- exchange GRAIN for DEC and vice versa.

- exchange GRAIN for DEC and vice versa.
- add liquidity to the DEC:GRAIN pool which is the structure that allows the SWAP between DEC and GRAIN to be done.
So for the moment there is only one market in the Trade Hub but more markets may be added in the future.
I was very much looking forward to the implementation of the Trade Hub because I have 3 land plots and have allocated 2 land plots for GRAIN production.
I have balanced the production of my 3 land plots so that I have self-sufficient SPS production and in fact as you can see from the screenshot below I have more grain production than the grain requirements of my Land Workers.
Therefore, I have accumulated a surplus of GRAIN = +49355.62
I never sold my surplus GRAIN before today because I was waiting for the introduction of the Trade Hub.
I could have sold my surplus GRAIN even before but the only option was P2P using the buy-sell and trader-chat channels of the Splinterlands Discord server by carefully choosing reliable sellers/buyers.
Selling/buying between players is a slow and time-consuming option, which is why I preferred not to use it.
But now there is the trade hub which is a simple, useful and fast option to do the swap between GRAIN and DEC and today I used the SWAP feature of the Trade Hub for the first time.
Today I decided to convert 30K GRAIN to DEC.
To do this coversion I performed the following steps.
I clicked on LAND and then on TRADE HUB.
In the SWAP section of the Trade Hub, I clicked on the two arrows symbol to reverse the SWAP from DEC->GRAIN to GRAIN->DEC.
Then I entered in the You Give input field the quantity of GRAIN to be Swapped and then clicked SWAP.
Next I confirmed the transaction via Hive Keychain and received 441.39 DEC in my in-game wallet.
The conversion operation was quick and easy and I am glad that the trade hub has been implemented.
Before concluding this post I want to remind my readers that events are currently underway/planned to celebrate six years of Splinterlands: Celebrating Six Years of Splinterlands!
In particular, the Rise of the Champion tournament is very interesting.
This tournament is very interesting for two main reasons:
- it is a FREE ENTRY tournament.
- it is a OPEN tournament.
The OPEN wording indicates that all players will have cards at the highest level of all editions and thus will all have the same choices for cards to use in battle.
The tournament will begin on May 31, 2024, and to participate in the tournament you must complete the identity verification that can be done after logging in from this link: https://next.splinterlands.com/user/id-verification.
The prizes are also very interesting because the first place winner will receive a prize consisting of 1 million DEC + 1 Runi + 5 land plots.

La mia prima vendita di Grain in cambio di DEC tramite la funzionalità TRADE HUB
Splinterlands ha da poco compiuto 6 anni dalla sua nascita.
Quando è nato Splinterlands io non conoscevo Hive e quindi non ho assistito alla sua nascita ma poco dopo aver scoperto Hive sono diventato anche un giocatore di Splinterlands.
Sono un giocatore di Splinterlands dal settembre del 2019 e fino ad oggi ho giocato tante battaglie e continuo a farlo con regolarità ancora oggi perchè, anche se gioco su molti giochi basati su blockchain, Splinterlands è il mio gioco blockchain preferito.
Uno degli aspetti che mi è sempre piaciuto di Splinterlands è la capacità del team di sviluppo di apportare continui miglioramenti e aggiungere nuove funzionalità.
L'unico aspetto che non mi è mai piaciuto è stato la scelta di tollerare per troppo tempo i bots ma su questo argomento ho condiviso più volte le miei personali considerazioni in diversi miei precedenti posts...
Nel post di oggi voglio condividere il mio primo utilizzo di una utile e recente funzionalità introdotta da Splinterlands: il Trade Hub.
Il Trade Hub è un'utile funzionalità introdotta di recente che permette di scambiare le risorse prodotte nei land plots in cambio di DEC.
In questo momento utilizzando il Trade Hub è possibile:
- scambiare GRAIN per DEC e viceversa
- è possibile aggiungere liquidità alla pool DEC:GRAIN che è la struttura che permette di fare lo SWAP tra DEC e GRAIN.
Quindi per il momento è presente un solo mercato nel Trade Hub ma in futuro potrebbero essere aggiunti altri mercati.
Io aspettavo con molto interesse l'implementazione del Trade Hub perchè ho 3 land plots e ho destinato 2 land plots alla produzione di GRAIN.
Ho bilanciato la produzione dei miei 3 land plots in modo da avere una produzione di SPS autosufficiente e infatti come puoi vedere dallo screenshot seguente ho una produzione di grano maggiore rispetto al fabbisogno di grano dei miei Land Workers.
Per questo motivo ho accumulato un surplus di GRAIN = +49355.62
Non ho mai venduto il mio GRAIN in surplus prima di oggi perchè aspettavo l'introduzione del Trade Hub.
Avrei potuto vendere il mio Grain in surplus anche prima ma l'unica opzione era il P2P utilizzando i canali buy-sell e trader-chat del server Discord di Splinterlands scegliendo con attenzione dei venditori/acquirenti affidabili.
La vendita/acquisto tra giocatori è un'opzione lenta e costosa in termini di tempo e per questo motivo ho preferito non utilizzarla.
Ma adesso c'è il trade hub che è un'opzione semplice, utile e veloce per fare lo swap tra GRAIN e DEC e oggi ho utilizzato per la prima volta la funzionalità SWAP del Trade Hub.
Oggi ho deciso di convertire 30K GRAIN in DEC.
Per fare questa coversione ho effettuato i seguenti passaggi.
Ho cliccato su LAND e poi su TRADE HUB
Nella sezione SWAP del Trade Hub ho cliccato sul simbolo delle due frecce per invertire lo SWAP da DEC->GRAIN a GRAIN->DEC.
Poi ho inserito nel campo You Give il quantitativo di GRAIN da Swappare e poi ho cliccato su SWAP.
Dopo ho confermato la transazione tramite Hive Keychain e ho ricevuto 441.39 DEC nel mio in-game wallet.
L'operazione di conversione è stata facile e veloce e sono contento che il trade hub è stato implementato.
Prima di concludere questo post voglio ricordare ai miei lettori che sono attualmente in corso/programmati degli eventi per celebrare i sei anni di vita di Splinterlands: Celebrating Six Years of Splinterlands!
In particolare è molto interessante il torneo Rise of the Champion.
Questo torneo è molto interessante per due motivi principali:
- è un torneo FREE ENTRY
- è un torneo OPEN
La dicitura OPEN indica che tutti i giocatori avranno a disposizione le carte al massimo livello di tutte le edizioni e quindi avranno tutti le stesse possibilità di scelta per le carte da utilizzare in battaglia.

Grazie per l'informazione, lo avevo visto già, ma il cambio è veramente basso per ora, speriamo queste Land diano qualche soddisfazione in più, nel futuro, ai proprietari e a chi ci ha investito.
Non ho controllato il valore di scambio nel mercato p2p prima dell'introduzione del trade hub ma anche a me sembra un pò basso. Come te spero che la versione 2.0 delle land porti nuovi stimoli lato lands
