La amabilidad es sinónimo de buena educación, las personas que tratan a los demás con respeto y cordialidad iluminan con su ejemplo. El decoro es un valor que enaltece las relaciones humanas, es un destello que se enciende en el hogar y acompaña a la persona durante toda su vidad. Los mayores de la casa tienen una gran responsabilidad en la educación en valores de los que siguen sus pasos; si bien es cierto que las palabras ayudan a formar el carácter en los niños, no es menos cierto que los gestos, acciones y el buen ejemplo dado por los creciditos de la casa, es fundamental en la conducta futura de los mas pequeños del hogar.

Un comportamiento adecuado, donde el valor respeto esté presente, sin lugar a dudas, va a tejer fuertes lazos de amistad. La cortesía y el buen trato, entre las personas que se quieren y se respetan, se convierten en una hermosa fraternidad que; además, será estable y duradera. Las personas decentes se conocen por la confianza que tiene en sí misma y el respeto que muestra al prójimo. Esas personas; además, son inteligentes y actúan con mucha sabiduría, y aunque la bondad y la compasión, el respeto y la cortesía no se manifiestan con intereses mezquinos ni se dan para esperar algo a cambio, ellas saben que el trato que dispensan a los demás es el que probablemente recibirán. Si quiere ver al mundo cambiar sea digno y trate a los demás con dignidad. Respete para que te respeten y no olvides: haz el bien sin mirar a quién. Trate al prójimo como desea ser tratado y pronto verá el renacer de la esperanza en un mundo mejor donde reinará la civilización del amor.

Veamos que nos dice san Lucas 6:31-38 al respecto.

     Traten a los demás como les gustaría que los demás los trataran a ustedes. »Si solo aman a la gente que los ama, no hacen nada extraordinario. ¡Hasta los pecadores hacen eso! Y si solo tratan bien a la gente que los trata bien, tampoco hacen nada extraordinario. ¡Hasta los pecadores hacen eso! Si ustedes les prestan algo solo a los que pueden darles también algo, no hacen nada que merezca ser premiado. Los pecadores también se prestan unos a otros, esperando recibir muchas ganancias. »Amen a sus enemigos, hagan el bien y presten sin esperar nada a cambio. Si lo hacen, el Dios altísimo les dará un gran premio, y serán sus hijos. Dios es bueno hasta con la gente mala y desagradecida. Ustedes deben ser compasivos con todas las personas, así como Dios, su Padre, es compasivo con todos.» Jesús también les dijo: «No se conviertan en jueces de los demás, y Dios no los juzgará a ustedes. No sean duros con los demás, y Dios no será duro con ustedes. Perdonen a los demás y Dios los perdonará a ustedes. Denles a otros lo necesario, y Dios les dará a ustedes lo que necesiten. En verdad, Dios les dará la misma medida que ustedes den a los demás. Si dan trigo, recibirán una bolsa llena de trigo, bien apretada y repleta, sin que tengan que ir a buscarla.»
