Oggi inizia il terzo contest settimanale "Migliore Autore della Settimana" dopo una pausa di una settimana dovuta all'impossibilità di utilizzare la funzionalità polls di Inleo perchè durante la scorsa settimana ci sono stati degli aggiornamenti che hanno interessato questa utile funzionalità!
Adesso i sondaggi sono ritornati ad essere perfettamente funzionanti e questo contest può ripartire dall'edizione numero 3!

Il vincitore del precedente contest è stato @vittoriozuccala.
La prima parte del racconto 01. il Ferroviere, il Generale, il Marito ha tenuto i lettori con il fiato sospeso per scoprire cosa sarebbe successo al treno deragliato e allo stesso tempo ha attirato tutti i voti nel sondaggio perchè il racconto di vittoriozuccala ha vinto il contest con il 100% dei voti raccolti.
Come vincitore del secondo contest:
- @vittoriozuccala sarà il maggior beneficiario delle rewards di questo post: 60%
- è stato inserito nella curation list di leo.voter dalla data dell'annuncio della sua vincita da parte di @weeklytops fino a venerdi.
Ti ricordo vittoriozuccala che Inleo valuterà e curerà solo i post pubblicati in qualsiasi comunità utilizzando l'editor della Inleo UI.
Di mia iniziativa ho deciso di premiare anche gli autori che sono stati nominati ma non hanno vinto assegnando ad ognuno il 2% delle rewards di questo post per un totale del 6%.

Come funziona l'iniziativa Migliore Autore della settimana su Olio di Balena?
Ogni venerdì di ogni settimana pubblicherò un post in cui annuncerò il vincitore del contest precedente e selezionerò 4 posts pubblicati all'interno della comunità Olio di Balena di 4 autori diversi.
Selezionerò solo i posts che non sono ancora in payout nel momento in cui l'annuncio settimanale viene pubblicato.
Il mio ruolo è e sarà solo di selezionatore dei post perchè saranno sempre i membri della comunità di Olio di Balena a scegliere il Miglior Autore della settimana tramite un sondaggio votabile in un thread su Inleo.
I membri di Olio di Balena potranno votare il loro autore preferito da VENERDI fino alla chiusura del sondaggio che avverrà ogni LUNEDI alle ore: 10:00 UTC - 6:00 AM EST - 11:00 UTC+1 (ora italiana)
I criteri di selezione dei post
Le regole di base da seguire per la scrittura dei post sono le stesse regole indicate da @fedesox che è il creatore della comunità di Olio di Balena:
- scrittura italiana ben accetta
- contenuti originali
- rispetto e correttezza
A queste regole di base ho aggiunto dei criteri di selezione.
Nella scelta dei posts migliori considererò più elementi tra cui:
Criterio di selezione 1: la qualità del post.
- Minimo 500 parole.
Non considererò i post con meno di 500 parole.
Nota importante: Per i post in doppia lingua, sarà considerata solo una lingua per il conteggio delle parole. - Citazione delle fonti.
Se usi immagini non tue devi sempre indicare la fonte da cui hai preso le immagini (link delle immagini).
Se le foto/immagini nel tuo post sono tue devi comunque inserire in qualsiasi parte del tuo post l'indicazione che sono immagini/foto di tua proprieta.
Criterio di selezione 2: il livello di interazione nella comunità di Olio di Balena
- chi ha scritto 0 commenti durante la settimana non sarà considerato anche se ha scritto un post di qualità meritevole del premio Pulitzer.
- è necessario aver commentato almeno una volta un post di un altro autore pubblicato all'interno della comunità di Olio di Balena
- se due post avranno pari o simile qualità sarà il livello di interazione l'ago della bilancia.
Criterio di selezione 3: un punteggio maggiore per l'uso della lingua italiana
L'iniziativa Miglior autore della settimana è aperta a tutti (italiani e non italiani) ma l'uso della lingua italiana permette di avere più chanches di essere selezionato tra le 4 nominations
Il motivo di questa scelta è legato ad uno degli obiettivi di Olio di Balena: cercare di aumentare i contenuti in lingua italiana su Hive.
Se non sei italiano e sei un membro di Olio di Balena sei sempre il benvenuto su Olio di Balena ma se vuoi avere maggiori chanches per essere selezionato come autore della settimana ti consiglio di aggiungere anche la versione/traduzione italiana al tuo post ;)
Criterio di rotazione:
Per dare la possibilità a più autori di vincere questo contest il vincitore di ogni contest sarà escluso dalle nominations solo per il contest successivo.
Nota: Non applicherò questo criterio solo se il numero dei post validi per il contest pubblicati su Odb sarà inferiore a 4.
I premi per il Migliore autore della settimana
Ogni settimana il vincitore di questa iniziativa, il migliore autore della settimana, riceverà due premi:
- il 60% delle ricompense del post settimanale
- sarà inserito nella curation list di @leo.voter a partire da quando @weeklytops annuncerà i vincitori fino al venerdì.
Nota importante: leo.voter curerà solo i posts pubblicati dall'editor di Inleo.
Ogni settimana i beneficiari del post "Migliore autore della settimana" saranno sempre:
- 60% Migliore autore della settimana
- 20% @weeklytops
- 14% @odb-contest
- 6% diviso tra gli autori non vincitori

Nella settimana in corso solo 3 autori hanno soddisfatto tutti i criteri di selezione tra cui il vincitore del precedente contest e solo 1 autore (@mad-runner) è andato molto vicino al requisito minimo di 500 parole (496 parole) per cui ho deciso di includerlo tra le nominations.
Ho dovuto escludere dalle nominations molti post perchè erano molto distanti dalle 500 parole scritte e altri post che avevano più di 500 parole ma gli autori non hanno citato le fonti delle immagini oppure hanno scritto 0 commenti nei 7 giorni precedenti alla scrittura di questo post.
L'esiguo numero di post validi per il contest pubblicati nei precedenti sette giorni causa la non applicazione del criterio di rotazione e anche il vincitore del precedente contest rientra tra le quattro nominations.

Hello friends and members of Olio di Balena community!
Today begins the third weekly "Best Author of the Week" contest after a one-week break due to the inability to use Inleo's polls feature because during last week there were some updates affecting this useful feature!
Now the polls are back to fully functional and this contest can restart from edition number 3!
In this post you will find everything you need to participate:

The winner of the previous contest was @vittoriozuccala.
The first part of the story 01. the Railroader, the General, the Husband kept readers with bated breath to find out what would happen to the derailed train and at the same time attracted all the votes in the poll because vittoriozuccala's story won the contest with 100 percent of the votes collected.

How does the Top Author of the Week initiative work on Olio di Balena?
Every Friday of each week I will publish a post in which I will announce the winner of the previous contest and select 4 posts published within the Olio di Balena community by 4 different authors.
I will only select posts that are not yet in payout at the time the weekly announcement is published.
My role is and will only be as a selector of posts because it will always be the members of the Olio di Balena community who will choose the Best Author of the week via a voting poll in a thread on Inleo.
Olio di Balena members will be able to vote for their favorite author from Friday until the poll closes, which will occur every Monday at: 10:00 UTC - 6:00 AM EST - 11:00 UTC+1 (Italian time)
Post selection criteria.
The basic rules to follow when writing posts are the same rules given by @fedesox who is the creator of the Whale Oil community:
- Italian writing welcome
- original content
- respect and fairness
To these basic rules I have added selection criteria.
In selecting the best posts I will consider multiple elements including:
Selection Criterion 1: The quality of the post.
- Minimum 500 words.
I will not consider posts with less than 500 words.
Important note: For dual language posts, only one language will be considered for word count. - Citation of sources.
If you use images that are not your own, you must always indicate the source from which you took the images (image link).
If the pictures/images in your post are yours you must still include anywhere in your post an indication that they are your own pictures/images.
Selection Criterion 2: the level of interaction in the Olio di Balena community.
- those who wrote 0 comments during the week will not be considered even if they wrote a Pulitzer Prize-worthy quality post.
- you must have commented at least once on a post by another author published within the Olio di Balena community
- if two posts have equal or similar quality it will be the level of interaction that will be the deciding factor for selection.
Selection criterion 3: a greater score for the use of the Italian language.
The Best Author of the Week initiative is open to everyone (Italian and non-Italian) but the use of the Italian language allows more chanches to be selected among the 4 nominations
The reason for this choice is related to one of the goals of Olio di Balena: to try to increase Italian language content on Hive.
If you are not Italian and you are a member of Olio di Balena you are always welcome on Olio di Balena but if you want to have more chanches to be selected as author of the week I suggest you to add also the Italian version/translation to your post ;)
Rotation Criterion:
To give more authors a chance to win this contest the winner of each contest will be excluded from the nominations only for the next contest.
Note: I will not apply this criterion only if the number of valid posts for the contest published on Odb is less than 4.
The prizes for Top Author of the Week
Each week the winner of this initiative, the best author of the week, will receive two prizes:
- 60% of the weekly post rewards.
- will be placed on @leo.voter's curation list starting when @weeklytops announces the winners until Friday.
important note: leo.voter will only curate posts published using the Inleo editor.
Each week the beneficiaries of the "Best Author of the Week" post will always be:
- 60% Author of the Week
- 20% @weeklytops
- 14% @odb-contest
- 6% divided among the non-winning authors

Decentralized curation is a very important step forward for Hive communities and community involvement is very important, which is why it is important that you participate in this process!
In a time frame of 7 days only 3 authors met all the selection criteria including the winner of the previous contest and only 1 author (@mad-runner) came very close to the minimum requirement of 500 words (496 words) so I decided to include him among the nominations.
I had to exclude from the nominations many posts because they were very far from 500 words written and other posts that had more than 500 words but the authors either did not cite the sources of the images or wrote 0 comments in the 7 days before writing this post.
The small number of valid posts published in the previous seven days causes the rotation criterion not to apply, and the winner of the previous contest is also among the four nominations.
