Tired but satisfied. Today stop in Acireale, a Sicilian town in the province of Catania, to attend one of the most beautiful Carnival parties in Sicily. Due to the restrictions due to COVID, the celebrations began much later than the usual dates. Furthermore, this edition was characterized by flowered floats, that is decorated with flowers instead of just paper mache. The allegorical grotesque show is certainly unforgettable for children but also for adults. I have tried to take a photo for each allegory but I am sure I have lost some. Stanchissimi ma soddisfatti. Oggi tappa ad Acireale, cittadina siciliana in provincia di Catania, ad assistere ad una delle feste di Carnevale più belle della Sicilia. Per via delle restrizioni dovute al COVID i festeggiamenti sono iniziati molto più tardi delle solite date. Inoltre questa edizione è stata caratterizzata fa carri infiorati, ovvero decorati con i fiori invece che con la sola carta pesta. Lo spettacolo allegorico grottesco è certamente indimenticabile per i bambini ma anche per gli adulti. Ho cercato di scattare una foto per ogni allegoria ma sono sicuro di averne persa qualcuna. Il primo approccio per i bimbi è quasi di paura, alcuni carri sono davvero imponenti. Poi però superata la fase iniziale è diventato quasi un gioco scoprire le forme e le rappresentazioni, fino ai più piccoli particolari, alla ricerca delle più curiose!
