The additional note
Introduction
It is an accompanying document to the financial statements and its purpose is to explain some items in the balance sheet and income statement.
Together with the balance sheet and the income statement, it is one of the most important documents of a company balance sheet.
The financial statement data are mainly synthetic and quantitative, therefore we need the Notes to the Financial Statements to describe some items and the evaluation criteria used for the preparation of the two accounting statements (balance sheet, income statement)
What it contains
It usually contains:
–Valuation criteria (the criteria applied in the evaluation of financial statement items)
–Movements of fixed assets
-the composition of the items: "start-up and expansion costs" and: "development costs";
–indications on particular budget items
-the changes that occurred in the consistency of the other asset and liability items
–tax
–general company information
-the list of investments
-the total amount of commitments, guarantees and potential liabilities not shown in the balance sheet
-The amount of income from equity investments
NOTE: Small companies may include an abbreviated explanatory note in their financial statements.
Financial instruments
The explanatory notes for each category of derivative financial instruments indicate their fair value, information on their extent and nature, the fundamental assumptions on which the models and valuation techniques are based.
Who signs
The supplementary note must be signed by the administrator.

Going online we can see the annual reports of the stock listed on the Juventus stock exchange.

La nota integrativa
Introduzione
Essa è un documento di accompagnamento del bilancio ed il suo fine è quello di spiegare alcune voci dello stato patrimoniale e del conto economico.
Insieme allo stato patrimoniale e al conto economico è uno dei documenti più importanti di un bilancio aziendale.
I dati di bilancio sono principalmente sintetici e quantitativi, quindi abbiamo bisogno della Nota Integrativa per descrivere alcune voci e i criteri di valutazione utilizzati per l’elaborazione dei due prospetti contabili (stato patrimoniale, conto economico)
Cosa contiene
Essa di solito contiene:
–Criteri di valutazione (i criteri applicati nella valutazione delle voci del bilancio)
–I movimenti delle immobilizzazioni
-la composizione delle voci: "costi di impianto e di ampliamento" e: "costi di sviluppo";
–indicazioni su particolari voci di bilancio
-le variazioni intervenute nella consistenza delle altre voci dell'attivo e del passivo
–fisco
–informazioni generali aziendali
-l'elenco delle partecipazioni
-l'importo complessivo degli impegni, delle garanzie e delle passività potenziali non risultanti dallo Stato Patrimoniale
-L'ammontare dei proventi da partecipazioni
NOTA: Le società di piccole dimensioni possono inserire nel bilancio una nota integrativa in forma abbreviata.
Strumenti finanziari
Nella nota integrativa per ciascuna categoria di strumenti finanziari derivati è indicato il loro fair value, le informazioni sulla loro entità e sulla loro natura, gli assunti fondamentali su cui si basano i modelli e le tecniche di valutazione.
Chi firma
La nota integrativa deve essere firmata dall’amministratore.
