Ethereum is a decentralised blockchain platform with its own currency called Ether.
The development of Ethereum started in December 2013, and the first versions of the software were released in early February 2014. The founders and developers of Ethereum are Vitalik Buterin and Gavin Wood. Ethereum is different from Bitcoin in that it allows for the creation of unbreakable contracts, known as 'smart contracts'. 2013 - The idea for the Ethereum blockchain was born in 2013 by Vitalik Buterin, a Russian-born developer who grew up in Canada. At the time, Vitalik was a university student with a passion for cryptocurrencies.
2014 - Vitalik Buterin, co-founder of Ethereum wins the World Technology Award. The World Technology Awards bring together the most innovative people and organisations in science and technology from around the world.
2020 - Ethereum 2.0 is officially launched. With this development Ethereum will no longer be a Proof of Work blockchain, but will become a Proof of Stake.

Interessantissimo, già me ne avevi parlato!
Questa tecnologia completa di smart comtracts viene chiamata anche “trustless”, cioè senza fiducia... la traduzione puó ingannare, ma il significato è quello che in questa tipllogia di contratti “la fiducia” non è un elemento, cioè i contratti si eseguino senza una componente di “fiducia” che oggi c’è in ogni contratto attualmente conosciuto. I contratti oggi non sono gestiti da un algoritmo o dalla matematica, ma da gente che si supponga che paga una volta eseguito il lavoro

L’architettura di ETH è geniale, come dice anche Damiano, ma se rimane lenta potrebbe non svilupparsi e lasciare spazio a progetti più nuovi e più performanti
