Hello, great warriors of Splinterlands, I hope you all are doing good and enjoying your day. Today I am again here sharing my entry for the BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge "RULESET: Counterspell
" which is offered by @splinterlands. You can also participate in this weekly challenge, to know more about how to participate in this challenge visit this link.
ABOUT: Counterspell RULESET:
Counterspell
is a ruleset in Splinterlands battles in which all monsters receive the Magic Reflect ability at the start of the battle. Enemy monsters that attack with magic receive damage back. There are some rules associated with this ruleset in battles.
- Damage returned is equal to the damage of the attacker divided by 2, rounded up.
- Magic monsters with the Reflection Shield ability do not take damage from reflected magic attacks.
- The Amplify ability increases damage.

Battle Ruleset:
There were three battle rulesets in this battle which are
Counterspell, Fog Of War, and Unprotected
. The allowed mana cap was 12
and only Life Splinter Summoners were active.Battle Summoner
I choose
GENERAL SLOAN
as a Summoner for this battle, which is a Chaos Legion edition Rare Life Splinter Summoner. This summoner costs 4
mana and has one ability (+1 range attack to all friendly monsters). I used this summoner because in the battle rulesets, only Life Splinter was active and this is the only life splinter summoner I have upgraded. I have upgraded it to level 5 under which I can use up to level 6 common cards.
1. FURIOUS CHICKEN:
In the first position, I used
FURIOUS CHICKEN
which is a reward edition rare no-attack neutral splinter monster. It costs 0 mana and belongs to neutral splinter due to which it is the rarest card in the Splinterlands. I used it in the first position because it costs 0 mana and the allowed mana was only 12 due to which I used it in the first place to absorb one or two attacks of the enemy team.
2. PELACOR CONJURER:
In the second position, I used
PELACOR CONJURER
which is also a reward edition common no-attack monster from the Life Splinter. I used it in the second place because it only costs 2 mana and has 6 health along with reflection ability. I have upgraded it to level 5 in which its health and speed increase. At level 5 it works fine for me.
3. VULGUINE:
In the third position, I used
VULGUINE
which is also a reward edition rare melee attack monster from the Life Splinter. It also costs 2 mana and has two abilities scavenger and Dodge. I used it in the third position because of its scavenger ability and also giving -2 melee damage. I have upgraded it to level 5 for the -2 melee attack and Dodge ability.
4. HALFLING ALCHEMIST:
In the fourth position, I used
HALFLING ALCHEMIST
which is a Promo edition Epic range attack monster from the neutral splinter. It also costs 2 mana and has one ability at level 1 Halving. I used it in the fourth position because of its halving ability so if an enemy team used a high stats card it will half its stats. Currently, I have one bcx in of it and works very well for me.
5. SILVERSHIELD ARCHERS:
In the fifth position, I used
SILVERSHIELD ARCHERS
which is a reward edition common range attack monster from the Life Splinter. I used it in the fifth position because it costs 2 mana and gives -1 range damage. I have upgraded it to level 3.
Battle Result:
You can see the result of my battle in the below screenshot in which I won this battle and was rewarded with 0.324 SPS.
Did your strategy work?
