Hello, great warriors of Splinterlands, I hope you all are doing good and enjoying your day. Today I am again here sharing my entry for the BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge "RULESET: Holy Protection
" contest which is offered by @splinterlands. You can also participate in this weekly challenge, to know more about how to participate in this challenge visit this link.
ABOUT Holy Protection RULESET:
Holy Protection
is a ruleset in Splinterlands battles in which all monsters gain the Divine Shield(The first time the Monster takes damage it is ignored) ability which reduces the damage of the first attack received to 0.- Divine Shield will be re-applied when a unit is Resurrected.
- Blast damage will remove Divine Shield.

Battle Ruleset:
There were three rulesets in this battle which were
Stampede, Broken Arrows, and Holy Protection
. The allowed mana cap was 59
and three Splinter Summoners were not active (Fire, Life, and Dragon).Battle Summoner:
In this battle, I choose the Death Splinter and in the death splinter summoners, I selected the
Zintar Mortalis
which is a beta edition Rare Death Splinter Summoner that costs 3 mana. I choose death splinter for this battle because my active focus was on the Death Splinter so that's why I choose it. This summoner has one ability and that is to reduce the melee attack of all melee attack monsters of the enemy team by -1. I have upgraded it to level 4 and most of the time I am preferring to use it in my battles because it is easy for me to win battles with it. I bought it at level 5 and under this summoner, I can use up to level 5 common cards.
1. GOBLIN MECH:
In the first position, I used a powerful hitter
GOBLIN MECH
which is a reward edition common melee attack monster from the Neutral Splinter. The neutral monsters are those that we can use in all battles except when there is a change in the ruleset. It costs 10 mana and gives -5 melee damage at level 5 with the Piercing(If Melee or Ranged attack damage is in excess of the target's Armor, the remainder will damage the target's Health) ability. I used it in the first position because it is a powerful hitter with good armor and health so it will stay longer in the first place. I have upgraded it to level 5 in which its melee attack increases from 4 to 5.
2. DARK HA'ON:
In the second position, I used
DARK HA'ON
which is an Untamed edition melee attack legendary monster from the Death splinter. It costs 10 mana and has the Flying and Taunt
abilities at level 1. It has a high health of 13 and gives -2 melee damage. I used it in the second position because of its Taunt(All enemy Monsters target this Monster (if they are able to)) ability so the enemy team monster targets it and my other monsters stay safe for a while. I have got it at level 1 from the untamed pack opening and it works very well for me.
3. PRISMATIC ENERGY:
In the third position, I used
PRISMATIC ENERGY
which is a reward edition rare magic attack monster from the Neutral Splinter. It costs 8 mana, gives -1 magic damage, and has magic reflect(When hit with Magic damage, does reduced Magic damage back to the attacker) ability at level 1. I have upgraded it to level 4 in which its magic attack increases from -1 to 2. I used it in this battle because it has a Magic Reflection ability and is high health. Currently, I have this monster in level 4 and it works well for me.
4. PHANTOM SOLDIER:
In the fourth position, I used
PHANTOM SOLDIER
which is a reward edition Epic magic attack monster from the Death Splinter. It costs 8 mana, gives -2 magic damage, and has one ability Flying(Has an increased chance of evading Melee or Ranged attacks from Monsters who do not have the Flying ability) at level 1. I have upgraded it to level 3 in which its magic attack increases from 2 to 3 and also it gains the Silence(Reduces the Magic Attack of all enemy Monsters) ability. In this battle, I used it because of its Silence ability which will reduce the magic attack of the enemy team monsters by -1. Currently, I have this monster in level 3 and it works very well for me whenever I use it in my battles.
5. ANCIENT LICH:
In the fifth position, I used
ANCIENT LICH
which is also a reward edition legendary magic attack monster from the death splinter. It costs 7 mana, gives -3 magic damage, and has one ability Life Leach
(Monster's health increases each time it damages an enemy Monster's health in proportion to the damage dealt) at level 1. I used it in this battle because of its high magic attack and Life Leach ability. Currently, I have this monster at level 1 and it works fine for me.
6. REVEALER:
In the last position, I used
REVEALER
which is a reward edition Epic magic attack monster from the death splinter. It costs 4 mana and gives -1 magic damage at level 1 along with the Stun ability. I used it in this battle because of its Stun(When a Monster with Stun hits a target, it has a chance to stun the target causing it to skip its next turn) ability. I have upgraded it to level 3 in which its magic attack increases from 1 to 2.
Battle Result:
You can see in the below screenshot that I have lost this battle. I was trying since yesterday for the Holy Protection ability to win a battle with it but I didn't win.
Did your strategy work?
In this battle, some of my strategies worked for me and some not which result in losing of this battle.
