Today I am again here sharing my entry for the BATTLE MAGE SECRETS Weekly Challenge "Ruleset: Close Range" which is offered by @splinterlands. About: Close Range Ruleset:
Close Range is a ruleset in Splinterlands battles in which all monsters with ranged attacks are allowed to attack in the first position.

The battle rulesets were of
Noxious Fumes, Close Range, and Lost Legendaries. The allowed mana cap was 44and three Splinters (Fire, Water, Life) were not active in this battle.Battle Summoner
I choose
LOBB LOWLAND as a Summoner for this battle which is a reward edition rare Earth Splinter Summoner that costs 6 mana and has 2 abilities. The abilities of this summoner are to decrease the speed of enemy team monsters by -1 and also we can use 1 gladius edition card under this summoner. I have upgraded it to level 4 and most of the time I am using it because of the Gladius card Quora I use under this summoner. I chose this summoner for this battle because Quora was available in this battle I wanted to use Quora in this battle. I have upgraded it to level 4 and under this summoner, I can use up to level 5 common cards. I will soon upgrade it to level 5 when I get some more bcx of it in the reward chests.
1. UNICORN MUSTANG:
In the first position, I used the
UNICORN MUSTANG which is an untamed edition rare melee attack monster from the Earth Splinter. It costs 8 mana, does a -3 melee attack, and has a Void ability at level 1. I used it in the first position because of its Void ability and its high speed along with a -3 melee attack. I have upgraded it to level 2 in which its health increases from 10 to 11. I don't usually use it in my battles but I use it sometimes when no other monster is available.
2. FUNGUS FLINGER:
In the second position, I used
FUNGUS FLINGER which is a reward edition common range attack monster from the Earth Splinter. It costs 3 mana, does a -1-range attack, and has a Martyr ability at level 1. I used it in the second position because of its Martyr ability so when it kills from the poison it will increase the stats of monsters in the third (Quora)and first positions. I have got it at level 3 from the focus rewards. I will soon upgrade it to level 5 for the Blind ability.
3. QUORA TOWERSHEAD:
In the third position, I used
QUORA TOWERSHEAD which is a Gladius edition an Epic melee-magic attack monster from the Earth splinter. It costs 10 mana and does a -2 melee and -2 magic attack, along with the Heal and Bloodlust abilities at level 1. I have upgraded it to level 3 in which it gains one more ability Immune. I used it here in this battle because it has an Immune ability and the ruleset was of Noxious Fumes so it will not take damage from the poison. Also, I used it in the third position because of its Bloodlust and Heal abilities in this battle. Currently, I have this monster at level 3 and it works very well for me in battles.
4. VENARI MARKSRAT:
In the fourth position, I used
VENARI MARKSRAT which is also a reward edition rare range attack monster from the Neutral Splinter. It costs 3 mana, does a -1-range attack, and has a Martyr ability at level 1. I used it in the fourth position because of its Martyr ability so when it kills from the Noxious Fumes ruleset it will increase the stats of monsters in the third and fifth positions. I have got it at level 2 from the focus rewards and it works fine me in battles.
5. MITICA HEADHUNTER:
In the fifth position, I used
MITICA HEADHUNTER which is an untamed edition epic range attack monster from the Earth Splinter. It costs 8 mana, does a -4 range attack, and has a Snare ability at level 1. I used it in the fifth position because of its high-speed and high-range attack. Currently, I have this monster at level 2 in the Gold foiled and it works great for me.
6. REGAL PERYTON:
In the last position, I used
REGAL PERYTON which is a chaos legion edition rare magic attack monster from the Earth Splinter. It costs 5 mana, does a -1 magic attack, and has a Flying ability at level 1. I have upgraded it to level 3 for the -2 magic attack and mostly I use it with the Obsidian Summoner so its magic attack increases to 3. I used it in this battle because of of it high speed.Battle Result:
You can see the result of my battle in the below screenshot that I have won this battle and I was rewarded with 0.249 staked SPS.
