thinking about what song to post it reminded me of this one that i was addicted to some time ago. And because this is what internet should be, random people making something cool. and it has sea and ships in it :D

think it is an old sea shanty. I seen it blow up after someone made one of this compilations from tik tok of random people collaborating.
Guy in the middle made the video and all other people just made a video of him and them. then someone recognized how great it could be so made o mix of it.
overall it sounds great but i also like it for the great side of the internet.

not sure it is old, I just dont remember exactly... but I slightly remember it dates back to the end of XIX century, have read about it something some years ago... but really dont remember all the details xD

nop, first time hearing it. And i do like it.
most of those "pirate songs" for me have a bit of the Irish music feel in them (at least my understanding of what Irish music is :D ), and i do like that rhythm and the violins.
And suddenly I wanna go to the seaside and have grilled octopus. I would totally listen to this one when enjoying the sea

What I hear are reminiscences of Demis Roussos, and Greek music 😏
Greek music is what I was going for and the tune was tranquil, just like the location (I am trying to appeal, you see 😉😄 )

this one turned pretty hard for me! cause the photo doesnt have any exclusive special feature / accent... ok, I'd go with this beautiful track named 'Sailor's one kiss' by great Russian artist Zhanna Aguzarova.
(The song is in Russian; it has a lot of verses about love, kisses, sailors, summer, evening shadows, magic hour).
I don't know how hard it was but I like your choice!

oh!! thank you. well, I know how easy it is to choose a winner when there are some great entries, and how hard it is to choose a winner when all the works apparently on the same level...
I mean, this is the case. your prompt seemed hart to find a matching title, cause, there was no bright accent, no strong certain direction, smth like that. hard to shape my feeling about this case into the words. anyway, its a fun activity I enjoy to take part! (and special pleasure is the game of searching appropriate images matching to the given words). my sort of challenges xD

Well, I could actually choose plenty of cool songs which I feel would match the PHOTO pretty well and will appeal to your taste big time too.
But in order not to complicate my life too much at this hours of the midnight. I think I'm just going to let myself be quickly carried away by the intuition of someone who should already go to bed and without thinking much more I will simply contribute this song as the one I consider the best match for your lovely photo. :)

Oops! then I'm really sorry for importuning you with my rookie comment. Given I'm not even a photographer I'm already too old for games and I'm actually pretty bad following rules. Hahahaha
In fact, I had never heard of the PhotoGames community before and therefore, I was unaware of its existence, its history and its rules to participate.
It was just that while I was distracted scrolling down through the Hot page of Hive, suddenly I stumbled across this "Match a SONG to this PHOTO" post and I just thought I might have something pretty to contribute to that post before I went to bed. :)
Oh we were welcoming you to the community and are so glad you joined in the game. There are lots of other games going on that we wanted you to be aware of.
Oh! thank you! I am well aware you were welcoming me to the community and you wanted me to know what it's all about. But like I said before, I think probably I would be a lousy candidate to continue the game with any chance of success. :)

By now, I just hope you liked my musical selection to match your lovely photo.
You see, I live in some northern country, so your photo gives me bright associations with a southern port, a taste of a cheerful and leizure life under the hot sun, swimming in tropical seas, dancing, drinking ... Therefore, there is a lot of music that will be a perfect soundtrack for your photo. For example, this track from the Planet Squeezebox accordeon music compilation (1995) : 'Hospitaleira Vacaria' by Renato Borghetti.
( I also thought about 'Calor la Vida' by Marie Laforet, but then chose the track without lyrics at all.)
Well, for my particular & peculiar taste in music matching photos with them. I would have selected this one of Renato Borghetti for the 1st or 2nd place of the prizes. ;o)
